Cracker

As an old white guy, this word should be offensive but it just sounds funny to me. I keep thinking of Chris Rock's stand up bit about how older black men talk about white men when they aren't around. Anyway, still a bad idea to call your "boss" a cracker...

Basically just confirms what everyone knew all along. Gruden is running this show. AB acted a fool at Mayock, Mayock tried to act like a real GM, then Gruden says "Nah man, this is my ship buddy. You're just a paper pusher who I'll railroad to save my own ass if this thing goes sideways."

Everyone on Gruden’s roster knows Gruden is a joke now and knows the deal.  You can get away with that what your situation dictates you can.

Brown ain’t done.  And issues with others will arise from this as well.

Did anyone really think he wouldn’t play? Gruden said he’s playing. Superstars don’t sit on the bench.

Ur right, he wouldnt have been on the bench...suspended players arent allowed in the stadium.

I think A.B. will miss playing time this year due to a violation of teams rules.

First, if AB blows himself up there are multiple avenues available to the team that allow them not to pay him.

Which already exist right now.

Second, lots of people go to prison and come out the other side much better off for it.

Our prison system is a joke, it creates and fosters repeat offenders to support a growing "for profit" privatization of the system as a whole.

Third, don't care about AB's hostility.....he's already hostile, no longer acceptable, zero tolerance.

No longer acceptable *to you*.  In the entertainment industry, its regularly shown that drama queens are allowed to be drama queens as long as they aren't physically hurting people/breaking laws.

A.B. behaves like a petulant teenager and should be treated accordingly.  Sometimes particularly problematic teenagers are put out of the home.....some continue the downward descent --- but many finally realize how important the family environment is to them and modify their behaviour accordingly in order to return to the home.

Then by all means become a GM and enforce your misguided format of "tough love" on adult men who's biggest issues are getting into arguments..then later apologizing.

I definitely wouldn't trust him.

My expectation would be that the apologies and the conciliatory attitude will last about as long as it takes his guarantees to kick in. Then all bets will be off

Mayock might see that coming, but I seriously doubt Gruden will.

It's par for the course. The coaches who tend to take these kinds of guys on are usually guys with overgrown egos who think stuff like "Yeah sure, those other coaches couldn't tame this guy but I CAN! I'm JON GRUDEN!!!"

Do you really believe that statement?

What it boils down to, is AB had an issue with his helmet, and he got into an argument with his GM.  Those are his main transgressions people are freaking out about.

He didn't shove a security guard.

He didn't punch a pregnant girlfriend.

He didn't give his 2 year old son "boxing lessons".

Is he acting immature?  Sure.  Is he acting crazy? Definitely.  But he isn't doing anything illegal.

But since I am apparently wrong, what single action is his AB's biggest issue right now?  What has he actually done that warrants any response other than "LOL"?

You could start by reading the letter he received (and published) outlining the fines that were levied against him by the Raiders.

Then you could spend 90 seconds reading this:

https://sports.yahoo.com/steelers-enabled-antonio-brown-and-now-the-raiders-are-paying-for-it-051043795.html

Will be interested in your thoughts.
