Really have to wonder where his mind is at right now.  NFL likes to prescribe painkillers so hopefully he isn't addicted to those or anything.

I think you need to re-watch that interview.  Yes, he was a little short and guarded at the beginning of the interview.  That's typical Cam.  When you try to get him to talk about things he doesn't want to talk about, that's his normal reaction.

Once the questions turned toward things he was comfortable with, he loosened up and started having fun.

Let's be honest here.  The press in general has not been kind to Cam.  That's fine, everyone is entitled.  At the same time, if Cam deals with that by playing it close to the vest, good on him.  He's also entitled.

A lot is riding on this season. If he stays healthy he probably becomes the highest paid qb in the League. If he gets hurt again and misses significant time it could be his last season in Charlotte. I believe Cam will be on a mission this year, to prove his critics wrong and to show that 2015 wasn’t a fluke.

Here is an interesting statistic related to this game courtesy of the Athletic:

Quote

Last year, the Rams allowed explosive completions (20 yards or more) on 10.28% of their opponents’ drop-backs. That ranked 29th in the NFL.

There will be opportunities for big plays. The difference between winning and losing will be the ability of the Panthers to successfully seize those opportunities. I believe they will succeed.
