Like I said, I only know the guys from Twitter. (Mac, Travis, Josh.  I’ve never met them. I don’t listen to the shows. But that doesn’t mean I think they suck. I just don’t know enough about the shows.

My own opinion: At at least for the most part, the show's rend to talk about sports. I hate shows where they're supposed to be talking about sports but they spend more time talking about themselves.

(Mark Packer did that all the time)

Everyone makes mistakes and deserves a second chance. Even Tyreek Hill.

Perhaps your strong sense of justice would be better served if you focused on the victims.

God promises to administer justice to all who have been mistreated or abused (Exodus 22:22-24) and ultimately offers them everlasting comfort and complete emotional healing that no human court can provide (Revelation 21:4).

Well, you have to promote your brand. I’m certainly not gonna argue that. Packer did that every day. My first on-air gig was at 18. Morning show host in Clemson at good ol’ WCCP-FM. The station picked up packer’s show for the afternoons. I enjoyed the show. Was a good formula: bringing in fairly reputable journalists to discuss the regional teams. Maybe they gave the side characters a little too much freedom on the show, but that’s just a programmer-nerd opinion. Met him a couple times, seemed decent enough. The show seemed to become more of a vehicle to drive his southern fried football brand, in the end.

Czabe was (and still is) one of my favs. Still listen to him frequently. I listen to Sirius NFL. Most of their programming is rock solid. That’s about it for sports talk. Most of what I need to hear comes via-podcast.

Anyone remember Jimmy V on WBT?

Gerry? Yep.

In fact, he’s another guy I listened to religiously. I can’t even remember if his content was that great or not, I was just a dumb teenager. But he was the voice of our postgame rides back to Greenville SC after those mid/late 90’s home games. He definitely projected well over the air.

My old man knew Gerry pretty well back when dad did afternoons at WSOC-FM. Brett McMillan, another voice you might recognize from the Panthers circuit, was also one of dad’s buds. Paul Schadt, whose nephew DJ was the PD at FNZ a while back, was dad’s co-host.

Radio life. A lot of stories. (None glamorous, lol)
