Sound Off! Official Rams at Panthers Predictions Thread

Panthers win 38-14.

Defense shows up and puts the league on notice with sacks, great coverage, and a few ints.

The offense looks like a well oiled machine.

CMC picking back up from where he left off last season with 80 yards rushing and 65 receiving yards.

I think Curtco shocks the world with, prepare yourself here, 160+ receiving yards and 2 TDs. I also think he gets 6 catches.

DJ and Olsen combine for 7 catches, 100 yards, and 2 TDs.

Cam comes out the gate with it. 350+ passing yards and 35 rushing yards 4TDs. The early MVP game

Ehh feeling like a close game that Panthers lose. If they win it wont be a blow out either.

Remember Rams d shut Brady down(who just had threw 500 plus in sb year before and torched chiefs d a month before)

And this Panthers d had a great game vs payton/Brees high powered offense later in the year.(depending if they show up to full potential(smh) and chemistry with new players/3-4 hybrid )

So yeah this is a closer game than people realize imo.

Again this year, I dont think the offense is going to be lights out unless the oline is better than expected(Williams/left guard(?)/paradis are all ???). Also is Cam is fully healed to throw deep accurately CONSISTENTLY.(He has had one the most accurate,if not the best,  deep balls when healthy)

Also Cam will have to have better pocket awareness and know when to throw the ball away. If he doesn't make quick decisions I can see an 8 sack type of game(Vikings 2016 smh) with him losing big yards trying to scramble and make something happen. Remember Wade Phillips...that's all that needs to be said.

Ron has no excuse not to have this team prepared. If they come out in this sluggish mode all hell needs to break lose.

If we are playing defense 30 yards off there receivers again this year , come Monday morning the Huddle will be in full meltdown.

Which I already predicted after Bills preseason game they will do

On paper the DL looks good. It would be a waste if they don't dominate or can't cause the ball is coming out so fast due to the soft zone

Lol wtf is with all these big win predictions for the Panthers? Y’all are delusional.

Rams win 31-16

Cam gets sacked 3 times in the first 2 drives and we go down 10-0 quickly then start to push a little too much, throw a pick or two and are down 24-6 at halftime.

Hopefully I’m completely wrong but our lines look like garbage thus far and they are gonna run all over us.

Until they prove otherwise, I’m going to expect the same pattern to continue that we saw all last season.  Sure, we were 6-2 after 8 games, but honestly, we should have been 4-4 or worse.

Panthers don’t have focus early and struggle to get back the momentum.  Rams might not come out like gang busters, but my expectation is that they will ultimately show more discipline and proficiency.

Can the Panthers come out strong at home in week 1?  There are so many question marks, but the ones surrounding #1 are the most concerning.  Not so much his ankle or shoulder.  I’m concerned about focus, energy, and competence.  Plus, O-line concerns, D-line concerns, Safety, WR.  We looked TERRIBLE in pre-season.

The final score will make it look like a closer game than it is in actuality.

Patterns tend to hold...

Rams 24

Panthers 16

To win this game we have to have a balanced offense.  I personally think Talib is the key and there will be plays we can make downfield on him.

While still a very solid CB overall...he simply has a type WR that he is vulnerable against.   Talib the past few years has struggled with the smaller and quick WRs.   We thankfully have 2 that fit that mold.

Biggest challenge will be if they can not get caught up in his games.  He will want to get physical and bring the bullpoo.  Hell, he couldn’t even cover Philly Brown....but he did take him out.

    • Just seeing this thread, and after browsing, I figured I would drop in and add my 2 cents. I hope this answers some of the questions or misconceptions that I have noticed.   I have owned a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus since Dec 2020, and love it. Absolute best car I have ever personally owned.  Current daily driver of 100 miles round trip to work and back.  Level 2 Charger at home in Garage.   The battery in my car was still designed to charge to ~80% for daily usage, only going above for trips etc preferably. The current batteries they recommend to charge to 100%.   1st year was in an apartment, 40 miles round trip at that point. Would highly depend on public level 2 charger at the library near me, and would also use 110v at work occasionally on weekends. Supercharger for travel. It wasn’t the most optimal, but I made it work. No maintenance in this year outside of tire rotations.   Years 2+, I am now driving 100 miles round trip to work. Level 2 charger in my garage.  I get home from work at ~25% charge, and charge back to my daily 80% in ~3.5hrs. On 110v, you can expect that will be over 24hrs. So for daily driver usage you will want a level 2 charger. For piddling around town, 110v will probably be fine. I had a part fail that was covered under warranty, and tire replacement/rotations for maintenance.     Tires: I have 99k+ miles on my car currently. I will put my 2nd set of tires on it at ~110k.   When I have had people ask me how I like my car, I always show them these 2 pages from the Tesla app. The numbers there are based on what I pay for kWh ($0.11) vs est cost of gas in NC at $3.93 per gallon. People who are concerned about the higher cost vs ICE probably don’t figure in the gas savings, or time/cost getting oil changes etc.  My car payment isn’t that much higher than any other car I’ve owned (shrug).   I know this is personal, and I don’t like the guy either, but I would not let Musk keep me from owning the brand. Thats like Henry Ford keeping you from owning Ford for, well….   Tesla currently have the best charging infrastructure for travel. Longest trip I have made is to Williamsburg VA from Triangle region. No issues getting there, no range anxiety etc. Sure stops can take longer for charging etc, but they are mostly setup at restaurants, gas stations etc for breaks, but ideally you’re not charging back to full at a stop. The best way to travel is to charge enough for you to get to the next stop. It’s faster at the batteries get juice faster when they are lower.  I have never seen another brand using Tesla superchargers tho I have heard it’s coming. But I have seen assholes pull their boats horizontally in charging stations 😉   If you are curious about how an EV would play into travel, check out https://abetterrouteplanner.com . Put in any EV you want, it will show you the path, time and time per charge etc. Great tool.
