Final 53 and PS prediction

QB: Cam, Allen, Grier
RB: CMC, Scarlett, Holyfield
FB: Armah
WR: Moore, Samuel, Wright, Hogan, Smith, Godwin
TE: Olsen, Thomas, Manhertz
T: Moton, Williams, Little, Daley
G: Turner, Van Roten, Hearn
C: Paradis, Larsen

DT: Poe, Love
DL3T: Short, McCoy
DL5T: Cox, Obada
EDGE: Addison, Irvin, Burns, Haynes, Miller
LB: Luke, Shaq, Carter, Smith, Norris
CB: Bradberry, Jackson, Cockrell, Elliot, Elder
S: Reid, Boston, Blanding, Jones

ST: Slye, Palardy, Jansen

Practice Squad:
RB: Bonnafon
WR: Leverone, White
TE: Hemmingway
OL: Catalina, Cook
LB: Kunaszyk
CB: Thornton, Doss
S: Luke

I like Heinicke a lot, but for whatever reason we've shown a tendency to lean Allen the whole time.

Holyfield cuts better, has stronger legs, and can catch just as good if not better than Bonnafon. He's more likely to be poached off the PS than Bonnafon. CAP is gone.

We'll carry 6 WRs if Torrey isn't cut, and I highly doubt that happens.

Hearn takes the last OL spot with Greene being a question mark as far as injury goes. We could look to other teams' cuts on OL depth though.

Vernon is gone. Good riddance.

Gaulden is likely gone, in favor of Colin Freakin' Jones. SMDH. I like what I've seen out of Blanding, and I think he makes it, pending his injury status. If he can't go, that spot will go to Gaulden, Luke, or Doss.

Norris pushes out Williams and Kunaszyk for the final LB spot. I don't know if I like this or not, yet.

Gano is gone, one way or another.

Im with you on this 53 projection and love the PS too.  I do think Bonnafon makes 53 instead of Holyfield but maybe Bonnafon would be a better choice to PS than Holyfield because of being claimed.

This. Bonnafon to the PS means we keep both. Let's be honest, neither will be dressing on game day, so the more important thing is having both there to practice with the team, and see who's a better fit for the roster next year.

This. Nobody is going to be chomping at the bit to claim Bonnafon. Holyfield, however, has shown brief glimpses into bigger and better things. Holyfield also carries a little more star power from his dad, so that would likely be another plus for him.

I'm not knocking Bonnafon at all, because I like what I've seen and what I've read about him. But my gut, however wrong it may be, is telling me that someone (or maybe even more than one) already has their eyes on Holyfield.

I mean, thankfully Scarlett has made this not really a big concern, so that's good. None of our backup RBs are even likely to see much time (knock on wood.)

But hypothetically I'd rather keep the guy I see more value in right now, and that is Holyfield.

I'll believe you and Igo. I just hope Holyfield doesn't get poached.

I think they like how versatile Bonnafon is and that, if needed, he can be the closest thing to CMC. Seems they value that more than potentially losing Holyfield.

I’m not convinced Holyfield did enough for someone to snatch him up for a 53, but I’m probably wrong

Wow so we might be carrying only 4 CBs to help with the hybrid front. Thought that may be an option. I guess Cox or Antwione Williams could take the spot. If things keep changing this afternoon I may just stop till its over lol.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
