Other than Gano being designated can't return, no huge surprises so far.

Honestly, that's the most surprising thing. So far, things are going pretty much exactly the way the Huddle wanted them to.

It's a scary world when our GM appears to be in agreement with our fanbase.

Please use this thread for word of Panthers Cuts. Starting an individual thread for an intriguing player is fine, but treat this as a general "who?" Thread.

I mean, I get that you're his agent and all that, but great? Really?

Exactly... good, bad, or indifferent, CAP never really made any lasting impact on this team, at least on the field.

I think he was solid but not spectacular... 5 years is a good career if this is the end for him.

I think he will get looks from other teams, especially if there are injuries, but I objectively see no upside to him being on this year's team.

CMC is going to get the majority of the RB snaps if he's healthy, and Scarlett will probably get the remainder.

Bonnafon is a better option for RB3 b/c he could be somewhat of a replacement for CMC's skillset if he went down, and he's a better option at returner (I think he could potentially handle KR and PR).

Anyway, I wish CAP well... he always gave it his all and was a good teammate by all indications... but yeah, his agent is doing his job, but teams aren't going to be lining up for CAP

What message?

"The Carolina Panthers are willing to hurt themseves, and make them a worse team just to spite a specific player"?

Fortunately, even if we keep Butler he should never be in that situation.

I can't think of a single back up I want in the game when the ball is on the 1, and the game is on the line.

The point was not what you or I would  want, it is what the player would want.  If you have guys on the team who would not want to be in that situation, then there should be no jersey  for them on Sundays.

I want the team to succeed.

If that means we have a depth player, who is depth because he doesn't try hard, yet is still better than any other option available to us?  Then I don't care.

If there was a realistic option better than Butler to get those 15-20 snaps a game, I would be all over it.  But there isn't.

I don't want him cut to send a message that the Panthers are willing to sabotage themselves.
