Slye looks like a NFL kicker... I think some of the Gano hate is overblown, but the fact remains Slye has the ability to kick at this level based on this preseason

Tepper actually seems to like Mixon, but if you were to be replaced I suspect we'd be looking for somebody new before bringing back Rosinski.

I'm not a big Mixon hater, but one thing I've noticed from watching other preseason games and hearing other teams' crews, a lot of them have a major advantage in football knowledge. They're able to discuss genuine X's and O's, and for me it makes the product a lot better.

Here's what I've discovered from long years of following football and football-associated media.

The better the football is, the more the media is liked and appreciated.

The worse/mediocre it is, the more the media is critiqued negatively.

Not saying Mixon is good or even average.

All I'm saying is that he has the absolute pleasure of being the media presence for one of the most boring and UN-innovative head coaches in fugging league history.  Which has to be a damned difficult thing to create "excitement" when announcing.
