Man, I amend my previous statements about AB being insane...  he is an absolute genius.  I believe he, Rosenhaus, and Belichick planned this from the moment the Steelers rejected the Pats' trade offer for him.  AB purposely did things to make him seem like more trouble than the Raiders wanted in order for them to void his contract, hence ensuring his release, allowing him to sign wherever he wanted, namely NE.  This whole situation may change the dynamics of player-organization relationships moving forward.   Amazing.

I agree it’s clear he orchestrated this move on purpose.  Never wanted to play in Oakland

If any contact between New England and AB(or anyone connected to or representing) took place before the termination today. It’s tampering if those communications come to light.

Then why go through all the trouble of Oakland? To give Pittsburg a 2 and a 5? He's not that heady. He could have accomplished the same thing from pittsburgh.

I don't think it was about where he went (outside of NE) or what PIT received in return...  IIRC, a huge reason for his push to get out if PIT was that he wanted a new contract.  I think he went to Oakland because they were the first to step up and offer a new contract, which ironically would allow him to eventually free himself of any obligation to wherever he went.  The Raiders were a pawn...  remember he didn't even show up on time to his introductory presser.  We know he had locker room issues in PIT, but nothing to the degree of what he repeatedly did in Oakland.

Nah. Hes still insane. And no, this wasn't orchestrated. It did fall out in his favor, though.

I've seen a couple of people compare this situation to Randy Moss and say New England will use Brown to win Super Bowls just like they did with Moss.
