Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.

Regardless, this is how I'd characterize this discussion:

Me: Duck walks into a bar and orders a beer. Bartender says, "That'll be five dollars." Duck responds, "Just put it on my bill."

Response: Ducks can't talk.

You're very good at backpedaling. We may need you for DB depth this season.

locking up and criminalizing non violent offenders for silly pot charges are a way for the system to keep people of color in check. Prison is a big business and keeping brown people in the system for pot is just a part of the process of keeping the prisons bu$y.

What do they do in CO about people going across state lines? Always wondered how they dealt with that.

LE in CO treat it as “legal”. They aren’t trying to prevent transportation. The border states (which I believe are 6 in CO) handle it however that particular state defines the law.

So in other words, CO is not trying to stop you from carrying it. The neighboring states will bust you for possessing it.

Cruise control + 2 mph is you’re friend...from what I read.

I would be for legalizing it if there were two assurances.  One, if it is regulated and taxed heavily while being scrutinized as much or more so than alcohol.  Secondly, no other "recreational" drugs would ever be legalized.  Colorado didn't stop with pot, and probably won't stop trying even further after shrooms.

Would you be fine with it being taxed at or around the same rate as alcohol?

Don’t quote me but I believe the excise tax raised on cannabis is 3X the amount as alcohol in the states that have legalized it.
