To the people who say Moore isnt the answer

And if Moore sucks and Jake comes back in and isn't better then what??

Not much different than the situation we are in now.... 3 QB's and none of them worth a damn at this point. Why we have anybody on the team that cant contribute to winning shouldnt be here. If Moore sucks then we know we can at least get rid of him... at this point, losing in a competitive way is a step up....

The thought process envoled to arrive at the decision that Jake gives us the best option to win is frightening...

Exactly.

To the anti-Moore crowd: is there anything that would justify the team starting Moore in your mind? How long do we let Jake play like this?

Is there any point you would put Moore in to see what we've got? Just trying to quantify how long a team should tolerate quarterback play of this nature.

But Fox has to evaluate all the what iffs and make a decision. If he thinks already that Moore isn't the answer and that we will just be back here with Jake anyway, maybe he doesn't want to make a change then. Hell I don't know what he is thinking at this point.

Barring a winning streak that starts now and ends after the Super Bowl, do you personally think there is anyway John Fox will be back next season?

At this point I really don't. Unless Richardson doesn't want to give up the 5 million guaranteed money it will cost him plus the cost of a new coach. Still I expect if he can find someone he really wants better, then he will likely pull the trigger. He isn't getting any younger and wants a Superbowl soon so he will have to go with whoer he thinks can do it while he is still around.

I do, actually - If this team doesnt' completely fold (it doesn't need to even end with a winning season) I expect he'll be given another shot next season, but he'll be on the "hot seat."

EDIT: Of course, if these forums are right and the Panthers tank the rest of the season then that's probably it for him... and that is probably what will happen =(

Following that train of thought, then, would it be at all logical to think Fox might know he's going to be fired whether he starts Delhomme or not, and that out of the same stubborn loyality we've seen time and time again he remains devoted to the man he's been tied to for the last seven years?

Then... what? How is that different from starting Jake, having Jake suck, and not every having tried Moore other than that we have no idea if Moore could have been good?

Since I don't believe the loyalty crap and or that Fox suddenly got stupid, tell me why Moore isn't starting. And please give an intelligent answer instead of the same old reheated crap. Fox has been in the league a long time and surely knows that results are all that matters. My personal opinion is that if he is going down in flames he is going to go down with who he believes gives him the best chance to win and who has proven to be a winner over the years instead of flaming out with an unknown and regretting making a change. I am not saying I agree with him but I think that is his philosophy.

Got anything more profound??

the people who don't think matt moore is the answer are retards. the starting quarterback sucks and causes us to lose, any logical coach is going to put the backup in which in this case is matt moore.

49ers did it and their qb simply wasn't making plays, not turning the ball over all the time

So because we aren't buying into the hype that everyone has been pimping for Moore the last few days we are retards. I want to see Moore start but that doesn't mean I think he's going to do well. Thats my opinion it sounds like it's your opinion that hes going to be our savior or something. And to the OP, don't say he cant be worse then Delhomme, of course he could be.

Going out on a limb here, but what if Moore comes in and plays well enough to win games? Think he'll regret making that change?
