But it was pretty shitty to retire 2 weeks before the season starts.  I don’t think you can poo on guys for valuing health.  But Luck does deserve a reasonable amount of poo for the timing IMO

Unless there’s something the public doesn’t know about. Perhaps another concussion.

You do know Luck has been injured all TC right? If anything, the timing is right. His body is breaking down, but so is his mental from it. Maybe he return next year who knows. Players need to do what's best for them. These teams don't give a damn about the players. Fans fake too. Turn on you in a minute. I still remember after Smitty being TRADED, he didn't leave the franchise, the fans that talked poo about him. They rode hard for Gettleman only to realize he wasn't the answer here either in what... 3 years later?

Who even knows what this vague "broken bone" issue was? He may have been looking at missing significant time anyway and just said fug it.

Dude, he has nothing to prove to anyone. Calling him soft because he lost the love for the game? Nah. Got out while he's still young enough to enjoy life never having to work ever again. Trying to get out before his body is forever ruined.

he quit 2 weeks before the season.

he quit because he said he was mentally worn out....2 week before the season.

he can do whatever he wants, and yeah, he's got nothing to prove...but he's quitting 2 weeks before the season starts. and he's quitting because he's mentally worn down. he's quitting 2 weeks before the season because he's not tough enough mentally to play the season.

His best buddy and biggest advocate it.

And that means????????

He was during the Spring as well. Is he going to play backup and take backup money. He certainly ain’t under our nose as any team could sign him at any time. For awhile now.

pretty sure he was projected to be ready.  So based on what we know at this point.....yeah, he deserves some poo for the timing IMO.

Now, if we get more info on his health.  Something there we don’t know about yet?  I could change that opinion.

and as I said, I don’t bash guys for valuing their health.  I never poo on Otah like 99% of the board.  The human body frankly wasn’t meant to be and used like Otah.  A freak physically.  And he used his head.  But unless there is something we don’t know I think his timing is shitty and he deserves a reasonable amount of poo for it.   Which frankly isn’t that much.  But it can mentioned

For all we know he could've been looking at IR anyway. It was always VERY vague what exactly this injury was.

Just a bunch of keyboard warriors jumping to conclusions and shitting on a guy who, like Cam, has been playing through near constant injuries for the past few years.

I honestly have a lot more respect for a guy admitting his heart is no longer in it and walking away than I would for a guy who just mailed it in and went through the motions to keep cashing those fat checks.
