If I just up and quit on my team at my job out of the blue, 2 weeks before a gigantic project was due, where I was the central figure, I think people would be salty with me there too...

Do 300 lbs people hit you in the knees and head at your job?

exactly.

give the team a heads up before the draft at the very minimum. according to the colts, they just found out this week.

luck was very selfish with his decision and i am glad the fans booed. i hope irsay gets back all of the signing bonus money the team is owed as well.

That's an argument you can make but if Luck can't heal properly he might think the Colts have a better shot if he isn't in Brisset's way. Plus its his body. I wouldn't give a poo what a fan thinks if I don't want to cripple myself. They can find a new hobby.

Indy is in a tough situation now though

They rwally ramped up building around Luck the last 2 seasons.

Even without Luck now, with that OL, the athletes theyve brought in at RB etc, Brissett is jist servicable enough.  Theyre floor right now is 6-10 even without Luck.  So they will be in no way shape or form in Position to draft a QB in this next draft.  Its like the Hornets who have been in purgatory

Luck is a classic millennial, he just ghosted his employer and the entire State of Indiana and the Colts fanbase.

I applaud Luck for walking away from the game, he is leaving HALF A BILLION dollars on the table as he easily had 10 more years in the league.

I applaud him for listening to his body and realize there is more to life.

I think he is also VERY selfish. You have a right to walk away from the game, but the game has done you wonders and so has Jim Irsay. At least inform management before right at offseason privately that you are going to retire, they could have went out and signed Foles or positioned themselves in the draft for Haskins or Jones. Instead 2 weeks before a critical season, you walked out on your NFL "Family". So to that extent, yes he deserved to get boo'd like hell because he shafted that franchise, they could have very easily signed Foles with all that cap space they had or traded for Rosen,

Maybe.. Just maybe.. He didn't decide to retire until this latest injury? People act like he decided to do this 6 months ago and never said anything

Because he probably had no idea this injury wasn’t going to get any better until recently. Did he know any of this in the Spring? When the reality of not playing another season started to set in, he decided he had enough. He could eat up another 10M on IR. Was never an ideal time but the conditions aren’t the same now as in March.

then maybe, just maybe if your Vagina hurts that bad you suck it up for the season and don't put your NFL family in this situation. He totally screwed the Colts and deserved that sendoff he got. He and his father have always been a tad odd and I am glad he stayed in college one more year to avoid coming to Carolina.

How would you feel if Cam today just said, you know what I am good, enjoy your 2-14 season, I am quitting 2 weeks before the season starts

What difference would it have made if he retired 2 months ago?  Explain to me what the Colts could have POSSIBLY done differently to improve their fortunes.

You seem to be implying Luck should never retire.  Because there is never a good time for your 29 year old franchise QB to retire, especially when you are in no position to draft a QB.

If he was going to miss the season anyhow, what’s the difference? You act like Luck was definitely going to play this year.
