Rams are going to shatter the delusion that this team is anywhere near a playoff team. It's not going to be pretty.

If Cam plays we will win that game.

Cross country 1:00 game for a west coast team that hasn’t played any of its starters in a preseason game. The rams will be rusty.

Is there actually an outcome in that game where you're already willing to give up the entire season? Even if we lose 30-0, we'll be 0-1 for the season, 15 games to go, having lost to last year's NFC champion. I'm not throwing in the towel after week 1, no matter what happens.

In common usage, reactionary is a generally disparaging term used to describe a person or policy opposing liberal or progressive change or promoting action or social change to return to a past social condition.[1] According to political theorist Mark Lilla, reaction is the yearning to overturn a present condition of decadence and recover an idealized past. Reactionary suggests individuals or policies that favour social transformation, whereas conservative suggests individuals or policies that seek to preserve what exists in the present.[2] Reactionary is a term often used in the context of the left–right political spectrum, and is one tradition in right-wing politics. Unlike the term conservative, reactionary is rarely used as a term of self-description. It is most often used to criticize or disparage entities or policies by opponents. It is applied to entities or policies that critics believe are against desirable social progress.

Its a win win !  We make the playoffs and everyone is happy and Ron keeps his job .  If no playoffs , Ron and his crew is fired and we get a new face to our team .   I do think its time to get a vet backup QB .  Maybe trade one of our QBs and Gano for a vet  for insurance .  Keep Slye . He is cheaper , younger and has looked pretty good so far .

If we think our line can’t handle the Rams to the point where we sit our franchise QB, we aren’t going anywhere this year anyway. If our line is that terrible and he gets hurt we go into tank mode and will have a new staff next year with a high draft pick.

Other than Cam hurting his foot, that game was playing out like a lot of Panthers games - even in successful seasons.

Slow start by the offense,

bad o-line play,

bend but don't break defense.

Differences I did notice in the limited throws by Cam was him anticipating his receivers getting open instead of powering the ball into tight windows after they're open, touch throws, improved pocket awareness. I think he's continuing to evolve into a more finesse passer and he trusts his weapons to make plays. That injury happened on the type of play he's done a million times before. Freak minor injury, he'll be fine.

The defense, particularly Reid (penalty be damned), was very physical again. Reid was an intimidator, much like Chris Harris and Mike Mitchell were. I loved it!

I think the Panthers would have won that game if it were regular season. Norv is better at making adjustments than Shula.

I know, I know. We are only two weeks away from you reminding us that you have the emotional stability of a 2yo on little sleep.

And yes I’m sure your argument why  Coach A/B/C should be fired immediately even though it has no baring or affect other than gutting the team more at this point in the season is something that should be shared at every opportunity!

But fear not! We may not care for your maniacal rantings or quick quips, but this season is only going to end one of two ways.

1. Everyone Gets fired - New owner has finally figured some stuff out, fires everyone and starts over. No players job is safe.

Yes! At last after years of you ranting that we should fire everyone after the first 3 and out of the season! You really may finally get your wish! May god have mercy on the soul of the next guy who you will undoubtedly shower with your praise and adoration of his impeccable coaching ability!!

2. Playoffs - big picture maybe playoffs and then some is the only way Rivera’s job is saved.

And alas, the one thing you would hate, heaven forbid we have a winning season and get into the playoffs or even maybe win a game.  Your rantings and raves will have fallen on deaf ears of the owner once again. Your grand and marvelous  rhetoric of the inadequacies of the coaching staff have yet again not been heard by the owner on this message board.

So kick back and relax and enjoy watching football for once. You either get to see a playoff team this year or finally get that thing you scream about every time we punt!

Have fun guy! Kickoff is around the corner!

Preach it Doc.
