Ya just saw it on the full tape. He’s gonna get a fine. But I don’t think it was a cheap shot or dirty hit. He even went up to Watson(?) after the hit to talk. He was definitely in the launching at him though.

It was bad luck and he'll be fined, as he should, and he'll pay it. He was there to clean up. He'd done so to textbook effect on several other plays earlier in the game without incident. It was poorly timed, but it wasn't vicious and he wasn't targeting his head. He was trying to thump him.

Yep that’s exactly what it looked like. He was just trying to lay a heavy shoulder to shoulder but the guy went down too soon.

LOL. He was already airborne when the two other defenders brought Watson down. You can't pull up mid flight, but keep telling yourself it was a dirty hit. It was a late hit, and he'll be fined.

No, he wasn’t. Watson was clearly down and Reid was still two steps away from him and nearly entirely upright (not “mid-flight”) and could see he was down. He could've pulled up and didn’t.

I skipped to end of thread but in real time and the replays last night I saw the receiver slightly bobble the catch as he hit the ground.  Which means the hit was not "late" and a good football play.

He was an established runner at that point, it’s not a fumble if the ball moved when he hit the ground because the ground can’t cause a fumble. So yes, it was late.

He's a hitter but those plays can be avoided by just tapping/touching  the player to make sure he's down

He didn’t have to touch him down though, the play was dead the second Watson’s elbow hit the ground and Reid was still ~5 yards away as illustrated in the picture I posted above.

He might get suspended 1-game like Gronkowski did a few years ago when he dove at Tre’Davious White’s head after the play was over.

Blitzing six or even seven is not against the rules. Diving on people late is.

Doesn't make it right especially for a team that just won the super bowl. Not sure what they were trying to prove. Actually seems bush league the more I think about it.

Was easily the best player on our team yesterday.

Yikes, this is how you know people got the blinder glasses on with this guy.   He just whiffed on a tackle the play before the late hit.  He ended the game with 3 tackles and not much else.  But, people gonna say he was the best player just like Kaep is the next Dan Marino.

Here's another example of a bad play by Reid that would have resulted in a 30 yard gain if not for a hold in the backfield.

Reid has the decision to go left or right.  Bradberry is already on his left while the right side of the field is wide open.

Reid chose to cover the left side and was blocked by 16
