The single worst decision Tepper has made is maintaining status quo for a year.

The biggest indictment in my opinion is that guys who don't even have a guaranteed roster spot play like that.

Yes because preseason play calling uses the full playbook and maximizes the full talents of WRs. 

Seriously you lost me with your unfair criticism of the two WRs in the first paragraph. They hardly had Cam out their at all this preseason and when they did he didn’t get much time. 

Youre putting way too much stock into a soft preseason game plan. Cam’s health is all that matters right now

Yup we are witnessing it right before our eyes. Rivera should have been fired last year or Hurney should have. Both of them keeping their jobs has led to overconfidents. Like Washington once again calling plays.

Washington is not calling plays in the regular season... why is that even legitimate speculation?

Seriously, a lot of coaches let their coordinators call plays in the preseason even if they take over in the regular season... this is not a thing

God I wish I could remember the article that quoted Rivera saying he wanted to turn it back over to Washington just to rub it the smug faces of those who refuse to believe Rivera is that fuggin stupid.

1. DJ and Samuel are solid. Will be streaky at times because they are young, but Cam dodging linemen because our offensive line was playing poorly us not on either of them. That’s why they didn’t get many looks.

 

2. Our line played like crap, but should get better as the season progresses. We have a new center and this unit is not use to playing together yet. I am concerned about Little getting hurt, because I thought he was going to be the starter before the season was over.

 

3. Ron was not calling plays because it was a PREseason game. He was mainly evaluating players for depth. His job is on the line and he will be calling plays in the regular season.

 

I think Cam had a minor injury and starts week one. Our offensive line is going to look much better in the regular season and Shula is going to open up his playbook. Ron knows how to run a 3-4 and will have our defense ready to go when the season starts. Scarlett is the perfect compliment to CMC and Burns will be a stud!

In 2015, The Panthers played the Patriots in the preseason in week 3. They picked off Tom Brady twice and Cam Newton played into the third quarter and threw a TD pass. The Panthers ultimately lost the game 16-17, but they looked a hell of a lot better while the starters were in than they did tonight. 

That said, the Panthers kicked the Patriots ass in Week 3 of the preseason last year and they still won the Super Bowl so who really knows what this game means
