Tomlin to carolina. You heard it here first.

Tepper is not a fan of Tomlin. He was one of the members of the board who voted to have him fired 2 years ago. Also, the new president of operations: Tom Glick would have a say in it as well, and he has no connection to Tomlin. It would be his job to find candidates for the role.

Well,... people want to win a Super Bowl and they want it now.

Take New York,.. both seasons after winning super bowls the fans were crying to fire Tom Coughlin.

I wonder how much they miss him now?

then there’s perennial losers like the Browns and Lions,.. doomed to the suck..

fire, don’t fire. It makes no difference.

we will see what their “dream team” does this year. What I expect is the same,.. win some games and look flashy,.. but in the end they won’t make the playoffs.... again... in a season or 2, they fire and hire,.. again.

in Short, if we don’t make the playoffs I expect Rivera will be fired,..

but what will come next?

3 winning seasons out of 8 with Cam and Luke in their primes.

If he makes it 3/9 this year he deserves to be fired.

Interesting & good point.

For comparison, the worst Carroll & Wilson have had in Seattle is 9 regular season wins (2017), and that was the only time they less than 10 wins.

In order they have gone:  11, 13, 12, 10, 10, 9, 10.

Stark.

So how many coaches have great seasons with crappy QBs? Did Brady make Belicheck great? The only time he didn't have Brady was part of one season when Brady was hurt. So again did Brady make Belicheck great or did Belicheck make Brady great. Or just maybe it takes both of them to be great. That whole debate is ridiculous. The same with Rivera and Cam. Since they have been joined at the hip since 2011 it is hard to say that one would have done great without the other.

Might it partially have to do with the fact that for most of the time in Seattle they have had little competition. That was 6 victories that we're almost guaranteed. It isn't hard to win 10 games when you get handed half of them.

The whole premise is if we have another losing season then Ron is gone.  Duh!!

With the talent we have, if we don't make the playoffs then a lot of folks will be gone including lots of players including possibly Cam, Olsen and all the one year contracts.  On the same huddle page we have one article saying we could win it all and another saying if we don't make the playoffs there will be significant blood letting and Ron will be first. Hence the pressure and expectations on the Panthers this year.

Get rid of Cam for who?

That is the question. The only way that Cam would get waived would be if he had a terrible year. The only way he will have a terrible year is if he is injured and his shoulder doesn't hold up. Even then Norv schemed around it until he couldn't anymore.

But that is worst case scenario. What I think is going to happen is that Cam comes back stronger than ever and takes us all the way to Miami. Until the games count I am drinking the koolaid.

It is surely more fun than being "realistic".

I think cam could have a terrible year and he’d still be the QB next year. Look how many times Eli has poo the bed but was still playing. You know why? Giants have no one behind him. Neither do we. If we have a bad year with cam it doesn’t get any better without him

If the cost to keep him was close to the dead money it could make sense but the dead money is 2mil and to keep him would be 21 million.  So you think if he has a bad year due to injury we would pay him all the money when he can't play anymore because we can't use that 19 million on a free agent or let Grier take over?  And Eli has two rings, has poor talent around him and wouldn't be injured. So the scenarios aren't even comparable.

But again I think Cam is going to be great
