should we talk about how grier looks like trash against vanilla 2nd string defenses

Most of that was from a few resident App State homers that used to post here. They've been gone for years. Don't be overdramatic.

lol @ trying to pull someone's fan card because you're mad your favorite draft pick played poorly. He's a rookie, either he'll bounce back or it's back to the drawing board like Cleveland.

I’m not mad because I support whoever is on the field wearing our jerseys. You can never say the same.

Have I called the pick a bust in any capacity or demanded he be cut from the team?

Yes or no?

You seriously wanna go here? OK.

You sent me one reply last night. And what’s best was I knew exactly what it’d be before i read it: gloating that Grier sucked without coming out and saying it. You’ve got a flair for telegraphing exactly what you mean so everyone on the huddle sees it and recognizes it, but because you don’t overly say it you can backtrack afterward with a trademark “show me where I said that”.

I asked you for your thoughts. Oh how dastardly!

Sounds like you're doing for Grier what you've accused me of doing for Cam.

I spent all of 2011 and 2012 and defending Cam from people saying he was a running back playing QB.

Maybe I just support these guys and get sick of seeing them get unfairly labeled after a couple bad plays — two preseason games into their careers.

Little sucked too but I’m not saying he’ll be bagging groceries in two years.

You and a couple others want Grier cut because a rookie QB playing with UDFAs and fellow rookies made a bad decision on a pass and had a rough game the game night as everyone else. And if not cut, then said rookie QB had better put up 200 yds 3 TD in his third preseason game of his career or else his career is already over. That’s not gonna happen. I expected Grier and Allen to struggle last night but couldn’t say that before the game because God forbid “lol just preparing for the worst huh”

Honestly he is not struggling any more noticably than the other qbs taken before him not name Daniel Jones. He is not gonna look like an all pro out the gate. He is a 4th rounder after all.

Kind of true

But if Grier identified multiple blitzers along with the coverage ,stood in the pocket and threw a 55 yard TD while pressure was in his face like Haskins did this place we would be going wild

@TheRedyou wanted them, here are my thoughts from last night:

Allen: played with starting OL and starting WR. Couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat. Awful-ass OL play didn’t help him at all. Didn’t look on same page with anybody when passing. But he’s also a UDFA in his second year.

Grier: played with a couple rookies and some trash on the OL. Also was grossly inaccurate throwing to studs like Aldrick Robinson and Jason Vander Laan, two All-Pros. Like Allen, wasn’t on the same page with anyone at WR. Is a rookie in his second game

Heinicke: looked like the best of the three while having more time to throw than the other two. Was facing the 3s and 4s at that point but looked solid. Worth noting he looked like the worst of the three in the first game. Is a veteran of several years and offseasons who like last year against ATL, had moments of being impressive and moments justifying where he is.

Neither of the young QBs had good body language and when that’s the case it often translates to poor play. That said, I still believe we should keep both.

Very true. He did have a nice throw about 50 yards down the field that his receiver stopped running on though. As Rivera would say, "missed opportunity."

I didnt see most of the game but if he connected on that one play the mood here would be different

If you actually think I want a third round pick cut after 2 preseason games, we really don't have anything to discuss.

I'm giving all of these rookie draft picks the benefit of the doubt through preseason at least.

But truthfully more concerning than some of the performances last night was how flat the whole team looked at home. Yeah yeah preseason and all, but it's an ugly omen for a Rivera team that had a mediocre record in our own house last season.
