Another positive indicator for 2019 : One score games

I was listening to the Golic and Wingo show this morning. They had a sports betting guy on there who said the best over/under on the season was Panthers over 7 wins.

One of the points he mentioned was that the Panthers were 2-7 in one score games last year. We lived every excruciating one. Over a large enough sample size, you'd expect a team to be around .500 in one score games, meaning the Panthers really should have one at least two of those (Detroit, Seattle?) This year, it would be reasonable to expect some regression to the mean (meaning the Panthers should do better in one score games this year and thus increase their overall win total).

Certainly. With a healthy Cam, we would have won the majority of those games. Even WITH a banged up Cam, we were in almost every game. That and the talent we added/returning talent, we SHOULD project to have a winning record. It all hinges on QB1.

After just recently watching All or Nothing, and reliving all those games from last year, it was very easy to see that we should have won just about all of those games.  Regardless of Cam being injured or anything else, we STILL should have won a bunch of those games.  The vast majority of our losses last year were self inflicted.  Which, if everyone is healthy and they have straightened some of these things out, bodes well for our chances this season.
