Keep the government out of the NFL

Why do these idiot House Judiciary Commitee democrates think that they need to be involved in the NFL now. People made contracts and were paid what the market allowed at the time the contracts were made. They CHOOSE to play a rough sport. Some of the to stupid to do anything other than play in that rough sport. The government needs to stay the hell out of the NFL.

I don't think the NFL is willing to give up those 27 stadiums though.

Are taxpayer dollars ever used for building the glorious stadiums that the NFL plays in?

Yes.

When you get funding via the government to build your arena, then you pretty much open the door for the government to interfere.

When Spector intervened with the NFL Network to force them to broadcast their exclusive Thursday night games on local channels for the respective teams that were playing, where was the indignation for the "government interference?"

Me, personally, I have no problem with someone holding Goodell's feet to the fire over how retired NFL players are taken care of, or the lack thereof. If the NFL had been doing right by those retired players, then you wouldn't have organizations like Gridiron Greats doing it for them

OK. I read the article on ESPN.com regarding Goodell and DeMaurice Smith meeting with congress in regards to head injuries leading to neurological disease later in a player's life...

I posted about this previously

Noticed the article had what is now my current avatar as the headline picture and found it an interesting read.
