Smith sounds unhappy about Jake starting

I wasn't until Buffalo that he needed to be benched. Until then we were on a 2 game winning streak and while he had some picks also played well at times. I looked at Buffalo as an issue because even his easy thows were off target which isn't something he did earlier.

So when it was appropriate and the facts justfied it in my mind I made a change. The fact that you decided earlier that you wanted to bench him doesn't make you right. I prefer to give folks the benefit of the doubt and make decisions when the facts justify it. You should only hope that you have a boss like me that doesn't jump the gun or make assumptions without all the facts and gives you the benefit of the doubt.

if you have employees that perform like Jake and you give them the benefit of the doubt like that.....your company would be in bad shape.

I'd be pissed too if I were Steve Smith. Jake's High Throws aren't helping him much this year. Before they had that sweet spot where Jake could throw it. But now it's too high.

Smith is probably like "I'm 5'9, I already jump 20 ft in the air to catch your other balls, 21ft in the air is too high man. TOO HIGH."

Guys seriously while I am not an expert I can say that this is definitely something that Smith would say...he said the same kinds of things during the Moose contract situation and it's mostly true. He does just work there, he's not a coach, he doesn't have much of a say in personnel matters, and it's out of his control. He has to deal with whatever personnel decisions are made by the coaches and has to play to the best of his ability no matter who is playing with him.

Nothing to see here, move on.....

Exactly. There is enough controversy going on already without creating more.
