Looked awfully slow in pursuit on that td run

You could see him realize the LB wasn’t in position as it’s happening.  He was already in pursuit just couldn’t compensate for Norris’ bad play.

Im no Boston homer, but I made note of that play b/c I knew he’d get lit up for it here.

From what I heard today, this is actually becoming a trend across the NFL.  Nothing to gained from playing the starters in the first preseason game.

Bears played about half their starters

It was encouraging that our clear second string players were able to compete with anything the Bears put on the field.  That speaks well to the depth and competition we have on our roster.  I'm still concerned about FS however.  I know it's still early for Boston to look good, but until he does, I'll continue to be concerned.

That’s what I thought when I saw the replay. It looked as though he assumed someone else would make the play and once he realized that assumption was wrong it was too late. Hopefully he gets that out of his system quickly.

Yes. Let’s go. I wanna see the defense with all our good players in. Could be quite nasty.

I still think there will be some growing pains as we move to the 3-4.    I think we should be good though.  Maybe great.  But I think it will be a process.

Norris crashed the gap like he was supposed to and actually forced the run outside where Montgomery ran towards Haynes, who did not seal the edge. He then ran a great line in pursuit of Haynes instead of the ballcarrier. Norris was nowhere near Boston the entire play.

The play was DEFINITELY Hayne's fault, but it's another good example of the poor angles that Tre takes to get to ball carriers.
