Teams can also surrender a lot of points and it is because of O and ST.  Not the actual D.

I was a basketball kid in the 90's, wasn't really much into football at that time. Lots of good times watching the Hornets at the Coliseum. I took notice of the Panthers around the time Jake Delhomme made his debut. I support the home teams. Hopefully the Hornets can get their poo together but the odds are just not good.

Actually the rankings are measured by yards. As for points surrendered you are right they matter  as a function of offense versus defense not just alone. You can give up 25 points a game as long as you score 26.

Carolina already has 4 sacks (Burns 2, Haynes 2) through three quarters of one preseason game. Last year, Panthers totaled just 5 sacks in all four preseason games.

Sit Heinicke and let Allen and Grier get more reps... He looks bad... How bad must our QB depth must have been last year when he was our sole backup.

I'm serious that I hope they cut him and give him a chance to catch on somewhere else.  Win-win
