They were just talking about the Defense

And they said

"1 name to watch out for.  Is their 4th round pick from last year who has Ole miss sack record"

And

"He (Haynes) has been turning heads all camp in this new scheme"

This is the first ive heard or seen this from anyone.  A lot of talk about other people but been relatively quite with Haynes.  But according to these guys, he's been really turning heads.

I'm not sure what it is but I'm just not psyched up for this year even though all the indicators are pointing towards a good year.  The radio program, although upbeat and espousing promise for the year, didn't have the pizzazz of years past.  Eric Reid's interview took what little wind that was in the sail right out of the air.  I generally love a player that plays with a chip on their shoulder but his chip just seemed to come with an uninspiring poor attitude.  Really hoping it doesn't spread to the other players, especially the rookies.  His attitude did lighten up as the interview went on.

I liked the interview with Donte Jackson the best.  He said he felt confident of his ability but not sure of himself last year in many of the plays.  But going into this season he said the game is slowing down for him and he's feeling more in tune with what he needs to do.

I think this whole season is going to live or die by this new defensive scheme and it's execution.

I was at training camp the other day and to see there wasn't many fans was terrible. Hope that doesn't mean we see more opposing teams fans sitting in our stadium. The team just don't show alot of fire as I've seen in the past.

I didn't make it this year so I don't have a 1st hand account but even the local media outlets just don't seem to show much interest this year.  I hope Tepper knows what he's doing.  I thought the North Carolina area would be more progressive but I wonder if he might not just be coming off a to many as a type of carpetbagger.  He showed up at Wade's in Spartanburg with a camera crew for some PR which is ok but I guess he didn't have the guts to make an appearance at the Beacon.  I hate to say it but Spartanburg will soon be forgotten by the Panthers I think.

Low attendance is a death kneel for camp in Spartanburg, which was a long-shot to host after this year.  I feel confident the viewing experience will be much better at the new facility in Rock Hill anyway.  It will also make it easier for fans from Greensboro/Winston and potentially even Raleigh to come.  My best friend lives in Raleigh and would love to take his son, but Spartanburg is just too far to justify it.

I think the media coverage has been just as good for this camp as any.

Attendance will skyrocket with training camp moving to Rock Hill.  I have been to Spartanburg in the past, but going to Rock Hill will be so much easier.  Already looking forward to taking my boys. Less than a hour versus 2.5.

Nothing against Spartanburg (and I do hate it for them that they will lose from the tourism), but Wofford was all about Jerry Richardson.  There is no financial or logistical reason to have it there going forward.  The only potential thing that is lost is the dorm experience, which I can see leading to camaraderie, but the pros to moving TC far outweigh the cons IMO

I think fans will get less access to camp at the new facility. This is the trend all around the league. It might be closer to many but don't count on better viewing.

I don't think Reid has the best personality and seems to be a bit of an introvert.  From watching All of Nothing, he seemed very quiet and a couple of the segments keyed in on the Secondary room and Reid didn't say a word.  Not everyone is a talker and this is necessarily a bad thing unless the guy is a jerk and the Panthers locker room doesn't seem to tolerate this kind of stuff.

The Spartanburg deal is played out and the writing is on the wall.  I've been to training camp numerous times and the fan experience is awful and why I quit going.  It is hot as he!! and most of the action is always on the field that is farthest away.

The only positive is the autograph area for kids.  The key word is kids and I'll never understand why adults are allowed in this area or even want an autograph.

    • We can't afford to reach for one of the first round QBs this year. I would love for nothing more than Bryce to be the reason we don't even scout the bastards
