Being kind of serious here that giving Deangelo airtime makes me far less likely to tune into WFNZ. Too much other good stuff out there now with podcasts to be bothered with them giving this dude airtime.

Two desperate entities starving for attention doing desperate things to get their fix before their supply runs dry.

Lol Deangelo is a dick, he was severely underutilized in his time here, but oh well.

Darius Butler did an interview this week an indicating Cam had a difficult time his rookie season cause of characters like Deangelo, Shockey and Steve, basically all egomaniacs that wanted touches no matter what

I never thought about this.

I don’t think it works like that, does it? I could invite anyone I want into my house and then have a free pass to beat the poo out of him with no repercussions?

I mean I get the “trespassing/self defense” angle but there’d still be an investigation.

come on over.

I'll explain it.

I’ve said this in the past (you can look at my post history) when he brings up the death of his mother.

I went through the same thing as him. I lost my mother in my early 20’s except mine was unexpected, not planned, I was 24 and had 0 savings and my mom had no life insurance. But every time he brings this up he has nothing but ill will about the Panthers.

He needs to honestly realize the Panthers and the NFL are/were his employer. They don’t have to do jack poo if your family passes away. When mine did, sure I got time off of work and offered free counseling, but that’s it. Did I expect more? Nope. It’s work. My co workers went above and beyond what I could ever expect them to do, but I never expected anything from them.

He needs to realize that although it sucks, but his job and employer let him do something for his mom and with her that 99% of us never will. The nfl and the team let him remember his mom by starting the whole pink for cancer month in the nfl. He made millions where he was able to share this with him family and make his mom happy. He was able to afford medical bills, and ensure she most likely wasn’t suffering at the end. But the reality is, his teammates or employer didn’t really do much. Should they? Most likely. But they aren’t obligated to at all. If anything, that speaks to his character and how he treated them if they wouldn’t do anything for him in that situation. I’m 31 now, and he is older than me. He needs to get over the Panthers and his teammates during that time and move on.

Was out of town last week, so I just got around to listening to the interview.

My thoughts, something is off with him, or he had everyone fooled when he was here.  I have one interaction with him a few years ago that showed me he was a great guy.

It was the day camp let out, we took our kids to Toys R Us in Pineville to get something and I noticed DWill in there with his daughter.  We didn’t say a word to him or bug him, he was there with his kid like we were and I didn’t want to interrupt that.  He was buying his kid a ball pit and the balls to go in it.  He and a store employee had the pit at the front and were trying to see how many balls he needed to buy for it.  My kid, who was maybe 2 at the time, walks up and takes a ball out of it.  I make him put it back and he starts screaming, so we leave.  Dwill literally chased us out of the store and all the way to our car to give my kid one of those balls.  I was shocked.  I thanked him and wished him luck on the season.  He seemed like a real nice dude, and of course we became big fans of his.

Something seems off with him, or he’s had us all fooled.

He honestly sounds like he has a slight mental illness. From an outside perspective, it sounds like he has so much hate and hurt built up that’s he never got counseling/help for. I was a very bitter person too for a long stretch of my life because of personal trauma. I finally reached out for help and it changed my complete mindset. Sounds like DWILL should too.

Every time I think of DWill I can’t help but think of that one time when he was trusted with a ball on third and short, vs the Saints, with us in a FG range for the win. Hi one and only job was to help center the ball for Kasey, gain a yard or two and run down the clock. He proceeded to trip on his own and lose big yardage and in the process taking Kasey out of the FG range.

We lost that game.

Well its obvious he thinks he deserves it.  You must not have been following this saga. This whole thing is about his obsession with himself.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
