Matt Moore video 2007

He threw into coverage a lot and got away with it, except for the 5 interceptions.

Don't just look at the stats...I don't recall all the ints but he only threw 2 when he started games...and had 3 TDs in those games...one of those picks came at the end of a game or half and he came in to throw a hail mary that got picked off...look at the quality of the start and try and tell me the team didn't play with more fire and passion...plus foster was our main RB so with the improved running game and our defense coming along it should be exciting IF he gets to start

Didn't say he was that great. He is just not horrible, unlike Delhomme.

If Jake looks that much better in 7 on 7's than both of them, what do you think they are going to do in a game when they are facing a full team? and if our coach says Jake is better than the two, gives us the best chance to win, they must be bad!

I'm sorry but I don't see Fox as a good judge of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Terrible in the last couple of years. He wouldn't know a good QB if Tom Brady wore #3 and lit it up in practice.

This is the same guy who WAITED 3yrs before starting the best RB in team history. Him saying Moore is awful means absolutely nothing IMO.

As many others have said, Fox has proven in the past that he will stick with veterans to long.

And Jake is the worst Quarterback in the NFL. How could Moore be any worse than being the worst?

Watch the whole games, not 6 highlights. Two were against the Seahawks, who had their worst game of the season, the other 4 against Tampa Bay's backups. Watch the whole entire games and you'll see why he's not starting.

Are you seriously still trying to play that card? It doesn't sound like you've watched the entire games, nor have you see any of his efforts in relief. You're telling people not to look at a stat sheet and constantly bring up his career stats. You're telling people not to look at highlights and watch the whole game. Have you seen the entire games of Jake Delhomme this season? Everytime you think he's made progress, he shows you that he's regressed far more.

The last time I've seen him play, he threw a interception, no touchdowns, and had a 33.5 passer rating. I pray to god he's not our future!

Matt Moore's last start against Tampa Bay in 2007:

2 TDs, 1 pick, 15 of 24 for 174 yards, 94.8 QB rating

An undrafted rookie in his third start.

No, he had those stats I was talking about this season. But if you talking about that, Tampa rested all their key starters for that game. He had nice numbers against a scab team.

Watch the entire games, not highlights, then you'll see he's not that great. We gamed planned for him not to lose those games, and he did that. But it isn't like you people are making it out to be. One team had their worst game of the season, and another rested all their key players.

We game plan for Jake Delhomme to not lose games and can't even do that. Your argument has no foundation. Did the Bills have their best game of the season? He single handledly scored half of the points Tampa had in a game that he TRIED to give to Tampa. He cant manage anything. Atleast Moore has shown that he can follow the game plan.

How many touchdowns did he throw when he played this year? How many int's? I rest my case.

That "scab team" was better than the Bills who Jake crapped the bed against. Jake has been playing since the '90s. That was Moore's third career start.

So tell me again, who is the better option going off their most recent starts, Jake Delhomme or Matt Moore?

3 td's and 6 int's are impressive to you? Watch the whole games hesplayed in, the int's should be a lot higher. And he did throw one against Tampa's scab team also, right?

    • Retired jersey, etc. It can't be done on Cam's terms.  'Be patient" and quiet about it is my advice.
    • I see your point 100% and I agree with Cam in principle--but from the business side of things, it is not a valid argument.  Was he doing it for loyalty to the city or money?  He signed a contract and both sides fulfilled that contract, just like a teacher or a lawyer/client. Recently, I hired a stud lawyer at $550 per hour to sue my employer for violations to the UNC system policy that "injured" my professional status and reputation.  If he failed, he would have kept nearly $30,000. We won a big settlement.  Do I owe him more?  Should he be on our Christmas card list?  What if he went public and said, "I gave my all for MHS yet I am not invited to his house for Thanksgiving."  I did give him a positive review and sent his staff a gift card to a restaurant, but that was purely my idea.  Cam was paid about $110m for his time here. He signed a contract, he probably outplayed it and he sacrificed his body to keep Ron Rivera employed.  Not under debate.  But Cam's comment suggests that the franchise owes him more for doing his job well--at least in terms of honor and recognition--I agree, but it it can't come from Cam--and they owe him nothing. They should do it, and they will, but not on Cam's terms.  I also think it would be different if we had won a Super Bowl.  Frankly, Cam never had 2 winning seasons in a row--so I can see both sides.  Maybe only Dan Marino gets a statue without bringing Miami a ring; can you think of another?  Fran Tarkenton?  Warren Moon?  The Titans retired his jersey, and maybe the Panthers should do that for Cam--While I agree with Cam, I just think it should not come from Cam or people in his position. He played, got paid, and the rest is political, emotional, and cordial.  It seems petty coming from Cam.  So yeah, I feel you, but I don't think that statement helps him.  Just my perspective.
