I have no idea how this year will turn out, but on paper alone, this is the best roster we have had under Rivera and arguably the best in team history.

With Ron and his expertise, this D will give teams nightmares.  Our O just needs to be solid and we are looking real good.

Boston helps the Panthers safety depth, and will likely start. From what I've seen he's still the player he was when he left, a hard hitting safety that you can rely on to catch the easy interceptions. He'll get some penalties, and will wiff some tackles, but he'll also every once in a while create a turnover by having sure-hands.

So I Love this pickup more than some, despite really glad to see us cut him when we did.

Boston has talent.  But was never a finished product.  He came here as a Project when we drafted him.  A good athlete with potential.

His issue all along was maturity.  Yes, he really Whiffed on some tackles (remember the Falcons game where he took the CB completely out of the play allowing a Huge run).  It all stemmed and pointed back to maturity.

Boston came in and had a pretty dam good rookie season (there were even a few do-over-drafts who had him going late first at the end of his rookie year).  Despite that, Rivera was still hesitant to keep him as a starter and bringing in Kurt Coleman.  There is a reason why Boston seemed to be in Rivera's dog house.

When the panthers cut him it was a gut check, a kick to his ego.

Then the young man grew up and started maturing.  If you've watched him since he's left here, he's a different player.  He's what we all thought he could be after his good rookie season.

Rivera has said he wants a guy who has good ball skills and create turnovers at FS (thus what he has said about Cockrell).  Boston is pretty good at that having 8 ints the last 2 seasons (thats the same amount as Bradberry, Jackson, and Mike Adams combined last year). That's something we havnt had since 2015.  The ints Kurt Coleman had that year was a big factor.

And to those mentioning, there is a reason he is still a FA.  Boston was one of the guys who was very vocal about Safties being underpaid this offseason prior to some of these guys getting big deals.  Boston was ranked one of the higher ranked Safties in FA this year as far how theyve graded out on the field as of late.  And he was wanting that money, he was holding out wanting a big deal.  He didnt get it and its later in camp he's pretty much forced to take a low deal.

Boston is a Huge pickup for us.

He's going to have the most ints by a Panthers Safety since 2015, this season

like tre boston was basically run out of town what are you people smoking

Once the inked dried he became the best FS on roster. Just poor job of handling the FS spot that boston was the best option.
