Tepper Wants a Retractable Dome Stadium

Totally agree on stadium location.  No clue but I wonder how long it takes to build new state of the art retractable stadium?  Where could the Panthers play if they demolished BOA and used the footprint of the BOA and practice field for a new stadium?   Would it be possible to limit that to just one season abroad?

In regards to giving taxpayer money to a wealthy owner, it is not Tepper's fault he is wealthy.  A new stadium would economically benefit the entire region.  The key is finding the right balance of public/private funding.

Also wonder how Tepper and the Panthers would handle the PSL question(s).

We could take it back to Death Valley in Clemson like in 1995!!

It took a little over three years from the breaking of ground for Arthur's anus to when it officially opened. Right at 39 months to be more specific. That would be without figuring in demo time for BOA if they stuck with the same location. I don't think we want to be playing at Clemson for 3+ seasons. A new stadium would have to be built elsewhere.

Who gives a fug about superb-owl being in their city. News flash 99.9% chance your team ain’t gonna be playing in it. Not sure about anyone else but I’m not paying $1000 per ticket to see 2 other teams play in my teams stadium. Build a 2 billion dollar stadium to host a single Super Bowl, 12- 15 years you get the chance to host another one...oh no wait there’s 5 other stadiums newer than yours. Want another one? Build a new stadium and so the cycle continues. Just a salty psl owner on verge of loosing psl with new stadium. Move the team bc you don’t get the deal you want? Call George Shinn and see how well that worked out with the city of Charlotte . Revamp memorial stadium for MLS, it holds 17k already.

Don't do it was aimed at the gov officials.

I prefer not to A.  Move the stadium.  B. Build a new stadium when BOA is in great shape.  C.  Give taxpayer money to a sports team with one of the wealthiest owners in all of sports.

Because of those reasons, and I personally think that if they can stand it in Green Bay, we can stand it in CLT, I'm good with standing pat.

Make two huge arches on both sides of the stadium and run that beautiful curved glass in between. That would be a unique solution to the common problem retractable and utilize the land and the already beautiful BofA. It could end up being a unique and iconic architectural masterpiece.

10 years from now he will be 72, an old man.  I suspect the team will have a good 10-years on the field and the last thing he'll want to deal with as an old man, is prying a beloved franchise out of their home market.

Benson was 78 when he was going to move the Saints to San Antonio in 2005 and without Tagliabue intervening, he would have.

Don’t think he won’t do something because of his “old age”.

Personally I’m in favor of a dome over our stadium but not a new stadium altogether

Yeah, I’m pretty nostalgic about the stadium site. The tailgating atmosphere, the walk down to Mint Street. It is what it is, but I sure would like the stadium site to remain the same.
