In what world is MT not in the same conversation as Julio, AB, and Hopkins?

I think you need to include Odell, whom I dislike greatly, and then you have your top 5 alongside Thomas.

From what I gather looking at spotrac/overthecap.

Saints had 37-45m next year in cap space *before* the Thomas contract.  That is without the following starters/positions under contract:

Brees (QB1)

Bridgewater (QB2)

Peat (G)

AJ Klein (SLB)

Eli Apple (CB)

Vonn Bell (SS)

Onyemata (DT)

Not saying all of those players are great.  But that is a lot of quality slots to have to replace on a budget when you've been trading away picks for "win now with brees" mode.

I am sure we will hear that they restructured some guy making 800k a year, for 2 years, and that some how opened up 10 million in cap space, though.

And to be clear, the qb replacement isn’t some easy thing. They will struggle especially because they won’t be able to draft a qb high (I expect them to draft in the 20s next draft). It’s gonna be a tall order for them. Brees’ is one of the best to do it, you’ll see a major drop off with this team once brees is out of the building.

They could pull off a Julio type trade to get into the Top 10 even from 20. Watston got picked at 12. Showtime at 10. Even Brees himself was a 2nd rounder many moons ago. It's not easy by any stretch, but it could be done.

he's not even top 5 lmao. take your homer glasses off. his system and playing with Brees inflates his stats.

he's not better than AB, Odell, Hopkins, Julio or Davante Adams. You can even argue Tyreek Hill or Evans are better too

Devante Adams career year last year is basically Mikes yearly averages lol. Go ahead and tell me how Arod and that system doesn’t help him though lol.

No, I can’t argue either of those guys are better. You might, but I won’t lol.

At the very least, the top 5 consists of AB, OBJ, Julio, Hop, and MT.

I'll give him better than AB though.

I personally feel like Julio is the best in the game and one of the GOAT. If you don’t want to put MT with him, that’s cool.

But there’s nobody else in the league that Mike isn’t in the convo with.

I didn't mean that as an insult to Thomas either.  I just think Julio and Hopkins are in a tier of their own.

Oddly enough, this was something MT's own coach has said.

Well, there can only be one most dangerous, and it isn't MT. Not a knock on MT either but no one is on Hill's level with what he can do. I wouldnt call Hill a complete receiver like those other top guys, but as far as dominating a game and almost being scheme-proof, he is that guy. Time will tell if my last statement is true.
