Charlotte has proven itself with the NBA All Star Game. We need to host a super bowl.  To do that, we need an enclosed stadium.  Bring on the retractable roof!

Economic studies have shown that sports stadiums are a terrible investment of taxpayer money, yet it has become the norm.

You know, if these team owners would just buy a stadium on their own money, well, they'd make all the profits themselves... The fact that they are preaching the revenue generation to civic entities means that they aren't wanting to share the wealth, but just have someone else shoulder the burden of what can be a white elephant.
