DeAngelo Williams Hating on Cam Newton

The Huddler

Similar to Kelvin, Deangelo is still grieving the loss of his mother. He's showing it in a different way, but it's there.

I feel for them - lashing out at anyone they've perceived as slighting their mothers' memory in some way.

Life can take you to bad places sometimes.

Like it or not, Cam has to win this season and be the driving force of why we win games. I've grown up in Charlotte and been a Panthers fan since day one but that doesnt make me blind from reality. The reality being that he is wildly inconsistent week to week, for every splash play there is a boneheaded turnover and is having trouble staying healthy now. If you cant see that as a fan then you are part of the problem not the solution. On paper at least, he has a good defense, offensive weapons, top 10 oline and competent coordinators. This is it fellas and gals, it just is...

I guess perception is reality.

Up until like 2015, this team couldn't win a game unless Cam played like Superman or didn't make ANY mistakes (interceptions).

As much as everyone pushes the defense agenda, most losses were blown leads - late in games, like the 4th quarter. And when teams knew we had to pass, the o line could rarely keep Cam upright. Byron Bell and Nate Chandler started at LT and RT one season - with Amini at LG!!! If Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Steve Young had a freaky threesome love-child, he'd get completely demolished behind that foolishness.

Cam hasn't been perfect - I'll agree. But every QB that has ever played the game, at any level, misses gimmies and makes bad reads. Every single one. But you have to give Cam a little slack when he leads the team in rushing yards and attempts. No QB in the NFL should ever lead a team in rushing attempts in multiple games in one season. And yeah, that's with Deangelo and JStew on the roster. Bad coaching, bad o line, bad whatever. But that ish should never happen!

Detroit gonna trade Stafford?

Actually, yes. There has been rumors the lions want to get out of that contract (since midway through last year). I dont expect Stafford to be there much longer. Look for a team like Dolphins, TB, or CIN go after him.

I've heard some of the same. They haven't at all been happy with him recently. I think their problems go way deeper than Stafford, but their patience has grown thin considering what he's been paid and their constant suck.

Oft-injured, and no courage behind his throws. He was once considered another gunslinger like Favre, but now he just another Alex Smith but with a poo team around him. I expect that Lions defense to be one of the best in the league this year though. Also, I don't anticipate the Lions running an offense where they throw the ball more than 20-25 times a game. They are going to ride K. Johnson, as they should. They dumped Riddick because the new philosophy doesn't include throwing the ball to a RB 4-6 times a game.

Disclaimer: Not a Lions fan. Just read a lot.

Yeah at this point he's just a guy. I'd actually put him on the same level as Bradford only with a job. I can't imagine any but the most desperate and poorly run of teams to be interested in him, which would end up being probably some team in Florida.

Deangelo Williams is a punk ass bitch momma’s boy, and always has been. Because the team didn’t cancel everything it was doing and send everyone and everything to his mom’s funeral he been a salty little bitch ever since.

His mom would probably be really disappointed to see what a punk he has turned into since her passing. fug him.

He has consistently been the driving force keeping this franchise in contention.

Where do these lizard people come from?

Remember in 2017 when Cam Newton led a group of practice squad WR's to the playoffs and nearly upset NO on the road if not for Klay dropping a sure touchdown?
