Game day tickets

What is the latest any of y'all have bought a ticket online for a game. The Panthers have done away with actual cardboard tickets and printed PDFs. You need a smart phone to enter the stadium now.

Wondering if the entire buy and sell market around the stadium will be gone.

Did PSL owners get paper tickets?

It's all digital now and no actual ticket packages were mailed out.  If so, I would have gotten mine by now.  I'm not sure what folks do without a smartphone.  PSL owners manage their digital tickets by their accounts via a downloadable team app; either use, transfer or sale the tickets.  I bet that's going to piss off all those guys that used to walk around on game days scalping tickets!  FYI, it's League initiative, not something unique to the Panthers.

In the short term I believe you will see a lot more empty seats in BOA as a result of seat owners not being able to transfer/sell/unload or otherwise move their tickets before the game to individuals.

Sites like StubHub and NFL will do very well for those seat owners who make their tickets available to those sites.

It all but will be, and thank goodness.

I got sick of being basically harassed by some bum trying to sell fake tickets every time I walked from the Stonewall station to the Riot tailgate.

Hopefully this decreases the amount of riffraff around the stadium.

No There was a sentence in there saying to call if you didn;t have a cell phone. I imagine they will print some for the old farts still using a flip phone.

I have bought and sold extras at the games. In the lean years you could get in for a fraction of face value after kickoff. They should open up the ticket booths on game day if you cant buy and sell online after a cut off time. Maybe give PSL Owners an option to sell there at face if they don't get bought earlier at the asking price.

You know that ain't happening!

Probably not but I plan to mention it in the survey next year.

The Panthers could make a service charge off each ticket. They like to make money. PSL owners selling tickets wouldn't oppose it. It could literally be a switch you click on the website.

I do not know what the solution is to this problem. Almost every season, including during goods season, etc... there are at least ten thousands empty seats every game.  I been taking pictures during them every season during 2nd/3rd qtr to show people.  Bottom line is there are a very large number of Brokers who own lots of seats and regular PSL owners who would rather eat their seats then sell them for to low an amount or below face.    I get it, that is their right, and I guess for the brokers they care more about not low balling their market; but again they choose $0 over anything and don't get why the person with one just one set of PSLs eats them vs giving away or selling for something.

I have included this my survey's over the years to encourage the team to try and come up with some kind of system and way to encourage people to sell them for something vs eating them.

Again, no idea how to do that.. have thoughts and ideas but would have to brainstorm around it and try certain things... but with tickets prices getting pretty expensive over the years (my seats were just $64 a piece ~5 season ago, now $100-$110) and so many not willing to budge at all in the resale market we will continue to have a lots of empties at the stadium on games days.
