Will Grier is making some plays/Samuel is a monster

Grier looking good in individual drills is a very good sign. Not surprising he isnt doing as well in 7-7 yet. Takes time to get the playbook, timing, and reading the defense. That is all coach-able. I am excited to see him vs. Allen in the preseason.

In an interview earlier in the week with Samuel a question was asked what did he work on the most in the off season?  Curtis said, "it may sound weird, but getting even faster".  Dude ran a 4.31 at the combine and was upset with that time convinced he was a 4.2 guy.  If I remember correctly, he was coming off a leg injury too (hamstring, perhaps?).  I would love to get a current 40 time on him.  I'd venture to say a 4.25.

Since we are measuring every yard cam throws how far was Grier’s pass

Looks like 40 on the first and over 50 on the second. Could use better angles on both to tell for sure though.

Grier throws a nice deep ball. I think the question will be how he does on the intermediate routes when he has to get the ball there quickly. Let's hope he is that solid backup we need for a several more years and then he can step in when Cam hangs it up....or he can be nice trade bait.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
