I'm almost always a homer to a fault, but damn if I'm not loving this team already. The young guys seem to be working hard, vet signings like McCoy already seem like long-time favorites, and knowing the potential this team has? Just let this team stay healthy.  Regardless of the outcome, I just want to see what peak this group has.

I like the mix of vets and young kids working on the D. No doubt I'm excited about how McCoy and KK can split double teams consistently and get home. I expect teams to dink and dunk us all year. If our offense can be aggressive and get teams behind though. Look out.

Rashad Ross, Terry Godwin and DJ Moore getting punt return work. Mike Palardy getting punt work. JJ Jansen getting long snapper work.

I believe i said in another thread that Godwin was going to get some punt return work...if they keep 6 receivers..that 6th receiver will be similar to Byrd..receiver/specialist

Just reading this my God our defense should be unstoppable.

Calm down. We need Short and Poe to both bounce back from subpar seasons last year. Mario will be playing a position he's never played before. Luke and Shaq will both be transitioning to different roles within the defense. Irvin is solid, but unspectacular. Hopefully he and Burns will be splitting snaps.

I see our defensive front kind of like our OL. The pieces are intriguing, but we need some chips to fall on place for us for it to all work out.

Seriously, you have to double Poe cause you don't want pressure up the middle.  Then you have to choose to double KK or McCoy, what a choice.  Forget not knowing if and who from the LBs is going to blitz, think a rb or te will stop Addison or Irvin?

Sick little girl at home today, so daddy here is doctor bound. I’ll be back at camp this weekend with some pics and updates. I’ll update the site tonight with a recap of day one and some depth chart thoughts.

Follow the usuals today, including the folks over at the @RoaringRiot—between these guys, Joe and Jourdan, Voth, and more, the level of reporting these days at camp has been very good, a far cry from years past. When @Jeremy Igo arrives—get your pix fix.

Hell, what am I saying. Y’all know who to follow by now. Have a great Friday gang.

The 3-4 and 4-3 isn't vastly different. We should expect a better defense simply because it's not the same one we have been using since 2011. Also Rivera will be calling plays and that in its self makes us better. Poe and KK were more victims of a terrible scheme than personal performance and that showed late in the year.

I have some nice photos to share of this later. The guy is just a humble beast.

Always loved McCoy.  Really wanted him in that 2010 draft....we wouldn't have been able to get him as we were all the way down at 17.....oh, wait, no we weren't, we had sent that pick to San Fran for the rights to select Everette Brown the season before.

Lordy.
