How is this his fault? He didn't cut anyone. The Panthers protecting favored vets with marginal abilities is nothing new.

I would cut him Smith so fast his head would spin. Especially now that he isnt available to actually show any improvement in training camp.

It's one of those moves that makes so much sense that it doesn't make any sense NOT to do it.
