All or Nothing Premiere Event

The Panthers are having an "exclusive All or Nothing Premiere Event" at Knight Theater tomorrow night where they'll be showing the first two episodes of the show. I received an email for a ticket giveaway contest, so I entered and won! I'm sure they had multiple winners. Did anyone else snag a pair of tickets? I'm pretty excited. Here's what the schedule looks like:

• 7 PM - Door Opens, Cash Bar available
• 8 PM - Screening
• 9:30 PM - Q&A featuring Director Steve Trout, David Tepper, & select Panthers players
• 10 PM Event ends

I don't know how exactly they're doing the Q&A session, but I'll try to take notes on what is said. If they take questions from the audience, what is one question you would ask?

Did doing all or nothing come with a stipulation that the league can’t force us to ever do hard knocks? If answer is no, make sure to tell Ron that was a missed opportunity.

Based on the article on panthers.com from the nfl films guy, it sounds like this season is gonna be inspiring and a tearjerker. It’s gonna show the world how tight knit this team is and how many great people we have in the locker room and in the management. That article stopped me from feeling avoidant about watching the meltdown. We’re gonna see the team up close fighting til the end and not breaking or melting down. Hopefully it just inspires more confidence in this coming season.

Nope, the Rams did both "All or Nothing" and "Hard Knocks" in the same season (2016).

I don’t know what the process is for choosing a team to do all or nothing but one would think the team has to agree to it and they can’t just be forced by the league to do it. So a team could then say, “yeah we’ll gladly do it, if you ensure we never get forced to do hard knocks.” Just because Rams did both doesn’t mean this couldn’t be true.

Judging by the teams that have done "All or Nothing" (the 2015 Cardinals, 2016 Rams, 2017 Cowboys, and now the 2018 Panthers), I'd wager that most of those weren't asked but forced to do it. The only one I think volunteered may've been the Cowboys only because Jerry Jones loves seeing him some Jerry Jones on the big screen (same reason they did "Hard Knocks" twice in 7 years, the second of which coming after a year they went 13-3 in 2007). Hell, Jerry Jones was featured more on their season than Michael Bidwell (Cardinals president) and Stan Kroenke (Rams owner) was in their two seasons combined.

The Rams I believe were forced into doing both due to their move back to Los Angeles and the NFL needed as much exposure for the Rams as possible.

Honestly, it'd be much less of a distraction to have the "Hard Knocks" cameras around for a month and a half as opposed to the "All or Nothing" cameras around for at minimum 8 months (from the Draft in late-April/early-May through December, possibly another month if you go deep in the playoffs).

But as for the last bit of your post, there is a way to ensure you're never forced to do Hard Knocks... make the playoffs once every two years at minimum or hire a new head coach.

One thing y'all have going for y'all though is if y'all don't make the playoffs this coming year, y'all more than likely not going to be forced to do it in 2020 because Rivera will likely be gone.
