I see DeAngelo and Stewart bust 10-yard runs...

...and I wonder why the Panthers keep getting away from that. It really boggles the mind. You have three solid running backs. If you wanted to, you could run all game long on people. Why do the Panthers put the ball in Jake's hands? Is it to justify the big contract they gave him?

and their decision to keep starting him + their confidence in him.

Yep and from what I can tell there's no such thing as a "one-dimensional" team, because without a passing AND running attack it's way too easy to take away that one dimension.

So basically, the Panthers are a no-dimensional team. I just realized how much that sucks!

They had no problem running the ball last year, and I still see Double Trouble breaking off big run after big run this year. And I've seen Jake take what the defense gives him. But then the Panthers abandon that, just like they did with the 7-0 lead over Arizona in the playoffs.

You cannot run the ball successfully when teams cram the box and dare you to throw. Until we develop a consistent passing game, the running game will suffer greatly.

The Jets did against Buffalo. We could have easily done it. Their offense wasn't going to do anything, if we grinded it out all game, by the end we would have rolled over them. But no. We passed 44 times.

The consistent passing game should be short dump offs to the RBs and the WRs doing hitch routes 5 yards beyond the LOS. Jake can't throw it accurately longer than 5 yards...its the sad reality.

Because Jake throws pick after pick and then we get behind and are forced to throw. In turn, he throws more picks.

That is the post of the year. Agree.

    • This is true. I think guys like TD, Luke, Jake, Gross, Trey Boston all have been positive and hopeful about Panther moves since they retired or left the team. They'll give their opinion about things but arent overly critical. Steve Smith has been critical but since becoming a media guy he's become more neutral, and since being part of the panthers media team (I think?) he's been more Pro-Panthers. Cam has been honest with his takes which I appreciate, and I think being PC in the media is something that won't suit him. Therefore, it makes sense why they'd prefer to not have him around media wise.
    • I think a healthy Derrick Brown solves alot of problems with this current lineup. Losing him was huge. Remember, he usually plays every defensive snap. BTW, I think they should pull back from that. A guy that big should really be at around 70-75% snaps at most.  If they can draft a contributing rookie pass rusher or defensive tackle, and then bring in an above average pass rushing vet, I think this defense takes off - with a healthy D. Brown. Oh and lock up Horn asap. The longer they wait, the more it'll cost. Secondary is good enough - starters and depth. Inside LBs need an upgrade and/or depth injection. They aren't that far off. Injuries have hurt them a ton.
    • Who mentioned Sanders or Ward?   You seem off your rocker about not drafting either QB.   I'm just telling you this franchise isn't going to win games until we find a franchise QB. Its really just a fact.
