A scenario many won't want to hear

Many of those who have fallen behind the idea of starting Matt Moore would also likely tell you that they're looking forward to John Fox being replaced just as much (or more) as they are to Delhomme being benched.

Something to consider in all this, though...

Suppose that Matt Moore actually does come in and play well, and the team miraculously goes on to have a successful season (perhaps even make the playoffs)?

Unlikely as it may sound, if this were to happen...

Moore could actually save John Fox's job

Now, bear in mind that nothing I've said here would fall in with anyone's realistic expectations at this point. It's not definite that Fox will bench Jake, or that if he does Moore will be the one to get the start.

Even assuming he does, the notion that he could prove to be a Bradyesque savior is a fantasy with little root in reality. Truthfully, most folks would be happy if he were just competent to above average.

But could it happen? :sosp:

Indeed it could.

I would actually want this to happen. I think Fox is a good coach and if Moore came and played lights out I think it would be enough to change Fox's ways and would overall make us a better team. Fox/Hurney have built a good team. It's the loyalty that is crippling them, I think Moore should he be great would definitely make them learn the error of their ways. Our starting QB(Jake) is the least talented player on the starting line up and that is the fault of Fox/Hurney, probably due to in experience. We are seriously one position away from contending.

Maybe all Jake needs is to sit back for a few games and watch this team from the sidelines...changing qb's right before we go to Arizona and New Orleans might not make a difference....but then again it could just be the spark that this team needs.

If Moore came in and became the savior, then I am sure that not even the smallest of changes would be forthcoming, much less the HC. It would be ironic though, because if the savior has been on the bench all along, then it just goes to show how inept Fox is because of reluctance to pull the trigger on Jake sooner.

I have been very skeptical of Fox since 2007, and seeing a total meltdown in play calling as well as execution on the field once Jake got hurt. How soon we forget Fox's foregoing fundamental football calls, in lieu of ultra-ultra conservative play calling that bordered on football lunacy, and was a direct result and reflection of Fox's show of no confidence in Moore (Carr and Testaverde). That being said, I am realistic enough to know that if Moore (or even Feeley) turn the season around, then there will be as much a chance of Fox being fired as one handcuffed man being able to resist 20 naked Alicia Keys, Carmen Electras, Halle Berrys, Kim Cardasians, Gabriele Unions, Anjelina Jolies, Lil' Kims, Kelly Ripas, and Buffie The Bodies for 24 straight hours

Kyle82 said it best(take some rep my brotha), let him sit and think. I think most of the players want a change, but dont want to say it. I think with a spark this team could ruin some playoff chances for other teams. I think Beason has sparked the defense, we just need a spark on St and Offense.
