Marty Hurney

Fox runs this team! Draft picks, FA signings, offense, defense and ST. But Hurney should be fired for being a yes man! I wish he would have stuck to coaching, but maybe he's learned his lesson.

In Dallas - Jones runs the team!!

In DC - Snyder runs the team!!

In PA - Tomlin runs the team?

In NO - Patten runs the team?

In AT - Smith runs the team?

In NE - Belichick runs the team!!

So who runs this team?

Draft prep is largely on the head of Don Gregory (chief of college scouting).

Pro personnel evaluation is done by Mark Koncz.

Cap management falls under Rob Rogers.

And all these guys report to Hurney.

It's fair to say his success - or failure - depends a lot on how good they are.

Danny Morrison is team president. Officially in charge, but practically more of a business guy.

Right now, football-wise, no one outside of Jerry Richardson has more power than Marty Hurney.

Both the coaching staff and Hurney should be blamed for our current QB problems. The Panthers did try to upgrade the QB position in 2007 when they brought in David Carr. Most thought this was a sign that Jake was about to be unseated. However, Carr failed miserably here. Yet, Carr is now the #2 QB on a very good Giants team, and they have enough confidence in Carr to only carry 2 active QB's. Yes, Carr stunk it up here but apparently with the right coaching/training, the Giants think he is a capable #2.

Hurney has done a good job of signing some lesser names who have come in to perform well. We have all said "Who's that?" many times, I'll admit I didn't even know who Beason was pre-draft, to guys who we now praise regularly. He's filled our DT hole twice this season. We've brought in QBs, either their QB scouts suck balls or Fox can't develop them. Same seems to go for WRs. Other than that, and perhaps a S, I'm not giving up on Godfrey yet, this team has great talent. We just need a coaching staff who can take advantage of it.

hurney does have to take responsibility for mistakes whether they were his idea or not. it was his name on the dotted line...it was him that did the hiring.

for every good move there seems to be a bad move. for every chris harris there is a landon johnson.

good might outweigh the bad overall but giving in jake the extension hurney and fox tied a noose around both their necks. hurney can say no. if he can't then that is more reason for him to be gone.

there has to be consequences for the situation that we have been in this year. we were put in a bad situation and they should be judged for how they handled it. if things work out well, then they are heroes. if things fail, then they are failures and should be canned.

they built this thing together and until one of them parts ways with the other, they are tied together. if fox can't get this team turned around and winning then he should be fired. if hurney can't make the tough call to fire fox and show that he is willing to make this team better, then he needs to be gone as well.

it is from this moment on that they should be judged.
