It is true that Cam did not have his best game in the superbowl.  But if we would have had an OC that year, we would have won the SB and won games by larger/comfortable margins.  

Shula was not qualified or capable to be OC.  

If you were to replace one person on that '15 team to get us to and take the SB, who would you choose?

You would replace Cam for the whole '15 season?

Whatever.  We would have never made it there with a record of 5-11 after going through 3 injured QBs.

And I wouldn’t have actually done that, just making the point that (I think) the team lives and dies by the players on the team, and Cam didn’t live up to his amazing season that one game.

I really more than anything don’t look at the 2015 season as anything less than amazing. I don’t let the loss in the super bowl take away from how fun that season was as a fan. I might get defensive when people talk about how one person or another sucked or this or that. I think the entire team, coaches and staff included had a great season. It’s so easy to arm chair QB after watching the slip away, but there’s always more than one reason why a team loses. Cam’s stat line doesn’t tell the whole story- a reasonable person couldn’t put all the blame on cam based on his mediocre/ bad game- did receivers get open? Did blockers block? 

 

At the end of the day it was a hard fought game like all of them this season except this time the panthers came out defeated. Great season, sad ending but overall very pleased with everything. I wouldn’t have fired Shula just because of the super bowl loss. Upgrades are always welcome though. I do like a new vision and direction.

It wasnt shula it purely falls on rivera and gettleman. Poor gameplan and going into the season with those tackles was awful. Cam called a lot of audibles that year bc shula was poo so they made him stop. Having said all that, the game was rigged hence the cotchery non catch

You'd replace one of thieves avenue who were having the season of their careers, but keep Shula?  Even Kurt Coleman had 7 interceptions that season.

I pooed you cause you said you'd get rid of Cam for the 2015 season and keep Shula either of which deserve a poo.

Seriously, its just an icon showing extreme disagreement, and yes I'm already drinking.

I had to pie every single one of your posts and I don't hand out pie that often.   You get it.   Unfortunately a lot of fans tend to get overly emotional once way or the other.   The bottom line is that we poo the bed in the Super Bowl... and really the Atlanta game as well.

Our D was great that year,but unfortunately,Tillman got injured at week 17,so was not the best lineup to play super bowl.

And our O was shame.

Was a looong ass game with the #1 offense shitting the bed against that defense & biased ref’s... gotta “play better than the ref’s ref” and the Panthers didn’t...

 

replace J.Allen with J.Peppers, V.Milller or J.Watt and that outcome is completely different.... Miller specifically....

Honestly people need to stop putting blame on Shula and realize it was more Rivera's fault than anything for not holding Shula accountable. At least checking he had a contingency plan if the magic formula was figured out. People  love giving Shula the blame but never spread it to the appropriate parties involved. Had Ron been more involved maybe things would have gone different. Unfortunately we live in this reality and the 2015 Panthers did not win the SB.
