We've never "won" a supplemental draft pick, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we've never tried to get a guy, we may have just been outbid.

Even if we bid a 5th as well, would not have beaten out the Cardinals.  Would have to gone in the 4th round.  I am ok with the result.  A 5th rounder would have been acceptable.  A 4th would be pushing it.

Agreed.  My initial reaction was to offer a 5th rounder to Zona for Deionte Thompson.  But then I remembered why he went there.  Skinny, too aggressive on routes and creates\allows big plays.  Still, I like him as a FS prospect especially for a 5th.
