The book isn’t finished on Daniel Jones by any means but I don’t think we see him become the player even Sam Darnold has become. He could be a good backup in the right situation. The Rams seem like a good option to let him sit and learn with McVay. -
I’ve seen Jones make throws Bryce could never dream of making. On the flip side I’ve seen Jones also make mistakes Bryce has never made. I think Jones might be available for a few weeks waiting for the right opportunity, but being the backup to Bryce with a shot to win the job next season is probably his best chance at another starting job, and in his home town. It’s a low risk move honestly, and he could replace Dalton as he backup. Shouldn’t stop the Panthers from drafting someone in the offseason though, even if they signed him.
