I don't blame you KT... if Jordan was still playing, I'd probably have a thread like this for him...

I don't even like NBA... college and international ball are MUCH better... NBA has fallen almost to the level of the Harlem Globetrotters IMO... more entertainment than basketball... but I do like to watch LeBron...

You're a dumbass. One i was saying how i like your Bobcats threads and want to see more of them because we are Bobcats fans and we're finally in the hunt. Lebron is all over ESPN everyday. I'm more of a Lebron fan then i am a Kobe fan. I think I've said this in other threads. Kobe's thread doesn't get bumped everyday like Lebron's does. Oh and Kobe is better then Lebron right now. He is way more clutch.

I have 1 thread dedicated to LeBron. I rep the Bobcats in every post I make on this board. The 2 are not exclusive, we can admire LeBron's greatness while still celebrating the Bob's breakout year this year.

Kobe is on ESPN far more. He plays in the 2nd biggest market and for an NBA franchise that has 11 championships without him. My point still stands, Ive never seen you tell someone on here to stop talking about Kobe. Just keep it real, you are a Kobe fan. Kobe more clutch? Pfft. He hits game winners over NBA doormats his team shouldnt even be in close games with. LOL. Thats clutch? Why wasnt he clutch versus LeBron in the biggest game of the year? Or better yet, why not last night against the lowly Clippers?

The Kobe thread is 3 pages long. Can you read? I said this one is always bumped. They are both on all day. You were the one to bring Kobe into it not me. I really have no idea where you got this whole i love kobe thing. When i say i like Lebron more im lying. I'm just telling it how it is. You're just blinded by your man crush for Lebron. Really? Does it matter who you hit the game winners over? They are still game winners. Lebron misses wide open game winners against the Bobcats. How many game winners does Lebron have this year? Zero. While kobe has 3 and has surpassed Jordan for most game winners all time. If there is 3 seconds left i want Kobe shooting it not Lebron. It's like he stiffens up and doesn't know what to do or he passes to some scrub to shoot it. If its over all game i want Lebron because you're getting the points, assists and rebounds. But in the clutch Kobe all day.

LeBron doesnt need last second game winners to beat the league's worst teams. When you're on the league's best defensive team they usually crush their opponents like they did the Lakers not even 2 weeks ago. Last second heroics were not needed. How quickly you forget. And your Kobe has more game winners than MJ statement is laughable. :smilielol5: Kobe doesnt even have more than Carmelo or Dirk in this era. He does have the most missed game winning shots of this era. If you want me to embarass you further and back that FACT up with a source, I gladly will.

You must've missed LeBron's game winning 3 pointer in the NBA conference finals last year. That shot has become LeBron's signature playoff moment. Now quick, tell me Kobe's last second game winning playoff shot that people remember him for. You shouldnt even need google right? LOL.

Like I said you are a Kobe worshipper masquerading as a partial LeBron fan. The fact you've totally blocked out Kobe & LA getting destroyed by 39 points in an NBA Finals elimination game not even 2 years ago proves to me such. The fact you've blocked out Kobe quitting on his team (something LeBron has never done) in Phoenix a few years back when he choked away a 3-1 series lead proves to me such. LOL. So clutch! The fact you're too young to remember Kobe shooting the Lakers out of the Finals in 04 with his 2 assists a game and 30% from the field when the Pistons could not stop Shaq proves to me as such.

I've actually been to Cleveland to see Lebron play twice. One regular season and the playoffs the year they went to the finals. Ive also made it a point to go see him play against the Bobcats 3 times including the one game this year. I've seen Kobe play once and that was back in the day of the Hornets. Lebrons game winning shot? Really? Congrats you won a game and lost the series. That shot was amazing! Man if he didn't hit that shot they would have lost 4-1 instead of 4-2. How quickly you forgot the Spurs sweeping the Cavs in the Finals. The Lakers got blown out by a team that should have never been allowed to be made. It's funny that i have said in every post im more of a Lebron fan but you still keep bringing kobe up. I've honestly never even liked Kobe. I've always said he got his rings from having Shaq on his team. I do think he has matured a lot since those days though and has become a great player. I mean the guy wanted Phil fired and wanted out of LA. But really King T I'm Lying. Also i think im going to the March 1st game against the Knicks in Cleveland. I'll send you a picture of Lebron for you to rub one off too.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP)—LeBron James kept asking for the ball in the paint and made big plays there down the stretch. With the Warriors going small, he took advantage of the mismatch.

James had 37 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds and the Cleveland Cavaliers ran their winning streak against Golden State to four with a 117-114 victory Monday night.

“It’s a point in my game I worked on a lot this offseason and it’s something I know I can go to throughout the game,” James said of backing down his defender. “Tonight was a perfect time for it.”

James shot 12 for 23 a night after he went 13 of 19 with 41 points in a 106-94 win at Portland and also had 10 rebounds and eight assists. For the second straight game, he wore one blue shoe and one orange shoe to go with Cleveland’s throwback jerseys.

“He said he wanted the ball in the post. He demanded the ball in the post. He went to the post and got it done,” Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. “He’s capable of doing that every game. That’s how talented he is. That’s how strong and athletic he is and he’s a willing passer.”

These are purely game winning shots. The stats from 82 games aren't all GW shot attempts. They used stats for game tying shots as well.

Kobe has 29 game winning shots in his career.

LeBron has 11 GW in his career.

Will say this though at this point, James is a better all around player then Kobe. In the clutch for a game winning shot though, I'll still take Kobe.

Couldn't find a list for Dirk or Anthony however. I have the list for James and Bryant though.

...and then we get to Kobe Bryant. Kobe fans don't like to hear it, but while their man is #4 in the league in total game winners hit, he holds the top spot in a less glamorous category: most game winning opportunity missed shots!

42 - Kobe

35 - Vince Carter

33 - Joe Johnson, LeBron

32 - Crawford

31 - Billups

Now we're not Kobe haters by any means and I will readily give him his due as one of the best NBA players (note however, I didn't say the best) but he certainly has an overblown reputation when it comes to the clutch shot: people remember the ones he hits, but not the ones he misses, and heck you think a 56 FGA to 1 assist ratio might be part of the problem? He does have a better record in the playoffs though, which we'll get to down below.

http://www.82games.com/gamewinningshots.htm

Carpanfan this list is different from yours and only looks at GW shots from the 03 season to the middle of the 09 season. At that point LeBron had more GW shots in that time period in the regular season and tied for most in the playoffs. They need to update their list thru this season though. My initial point still stands though, Kobe's repuation as a "clutch" shooter and LeBron's reputation as "folding up in the clutch" are bogus.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
