Not trading Kemba for picks and losing him for nothing is a potential franchise killer.

Let this sink in...they turned down a wheelbarrow full of draft picks for the Kaminsky pick and he is about to walk out the door for nothing 4 years later.

They don’t know talent and when they finally hit fools gold with Kemba they let him walk out with no fuggin compensation.  You can’t do this worse.

Boston's showing interest in a three-team sign-and-trade with Kyrie Irving (Nets), Kemba Walker (Celtics) and Terry Rozier (Hornets), sources tell ESPN. Boston wants to create a full mid-level exemption and would likely need to surrender at least a first-round pick to Nets. So far, talks are exploratory.

Fully expect them to facilitate the Kemba move and get nothing back.  LOL...Jesus

We should say fug you Boston. If they don’t make a move like this they can’t sign anyone else and they currently don’t have a starting PF or C on their roster. Lol good luck Kemba.

Charlotte is interested because of getting Rozier out of the deal and not having to worry about another team swooping in on him.

He’s a free agent so we’d have to offer a fat contract for him to agree to a sign and trade because there’s no way he would agree to sign with Charlotte on the open market. We also need to be full on tanking not trying to sign free agents.

We would be giving Boston our best player and also helping them open an mle slot while they do nothing for us in return.

If first round picks are not involved tell them to piss off and hang up the phone

He will get more than 60 on the open market I bet. Reggie Jackson got 80 million from Detroit a few years back and teams are desperate for PG help.

If the Hornets sign anyone and it is more than a 2 year contract they are fuging idiots.

Come 2021, the only players signed to the roster should be on rookie contracts or were drafted and extended by the Hornets because they have shown incredible improvement. 2021 is the earliest we should be looking to improve through free agency.

Exactly plus we get to overpay a backup PG.  yahoo

Only way in hell I consider it is if we get him on a one year deal, even at an over pay, if it nets us a first round pick.

Need to try and acquire as many first round picks in the next 2 seasons as possible.

Shet, this franchise is brilliant at making other teams good.  We won’t get picks out of this...highly doubtful

Bet Mike is on a golf course lighting cigars with 20s right now.

What if the Hornets have room for two max slots in two seasons and have lottery picks that actually pan out the next two seasons? If the rookies from this draft and Monk pan out, Charlotte should be in a good position two years from now. It's hard to stomach considering the lottery is a shitshow but its doable.

Kemba's contract is going to do to the Celtics what it would do to the Hornets...sink them for the foreseeable future. He is a high volume shot guy and Boston doesn't have many complementary pieces in place. Kyrie wouldn't be leaving if the surrounding talent was worth a poo. His gripe was that his teammates didn't care enough.

The point is had we retained Kemba for say 175-190 million and let all our poo contracts expire we would have had Kemba, guys like bridges and Washington and who ever we draft in 20 and 21, and two max slots.

We will now have the same thing but no one to entice players to come play here and no rookie or second year player will be good enough to command the respect from established superstars to recruit them.

Oh yeah if that sign and trade actually happens we will be paying Scary Terry 20 fuging million so we wont have two max slots in two years.

TLDR: Doesn't matter we are fuged for the foreseeable future until we prove we can develop a draft pick. Kemba took 6 years to become an All Star. If my math is correct and we draft and stud in the next 2 years, with our average, We will be a decent NBA team again around 2026.
