Heinicke shouldn't be overlooked says Rivera

This is also very true. Without Cam, we are probably a 4-5 win team even with the improved roster. Sad but true.

Meh coaches talk players up all the time, he’s not going to beat Grier, Grier is pretty much deemed the panther’s backup for the foreseeable future

Rivera says a lot of dumb things about personnel. He should be overlooked. 100% overlook him.

I bet we carry three quarterbacks on the roster and 1 on the practice squad. With last year fresh in everyone's mind, they will want to hedge their bets this time. It won't be just Grier and Cam on the roster.

You can clearly see he is dehydrated around the edges and was held back by it. He is working with "INSERT CURRENT HOT GURU OFFSEASON COACH IN MIAMI" and is a breakout star candidate!

There are some good, but grim, reasons to hold on to Grier and either Allen or Heinicke. And all of it deals with Cam, his recovery and his contract.

Cam's still on contract for this year and next, with pretty decent salaries for both him and the team each year. If the shoulder recovers well and he avoids injury, then everyone wins out, Cam gets another contract and we move forward into the future.

If Cam's recovery isn't great or he gets injured again, the team has to look to the future. Is Grier it? Who knows? I hope we don't have to answer that question, but at least he's on the team and having one or two experienced back-ups who have worked in the system gives us something to work with.

Yeah, I hope Heinicke and Allen are good and that Grier comes along, too. I'm really hoping that Cam is fine, too, because I'm sure not ready to see his career nearing its end.

This is what none of us will know until he starts again and how many opposing teams will exploit this and try to take him out again. On the back-up QB side who knows who will make it and who will be the one that the Pats swoop in here and take Grier(if placed on practice squad) since he was supposedly their target for their back-up to Brady(and or his successor).

I’m not sure. Rumor is he gets cramps with lack of water like Funchess. Hard pass.

With all the hype of Grier and Allen during OTAs, Heinicke has quietly rehabbed and keep his nose in the playbook.  Does it pay off or like every time since he started playing football does everyone think he is too small to be a quarterback ?

he is Ron’s latest ‘Rudy’. 

Nice kid. Not a fan of ever seeing him on the field again.
