Tepper is very serious about an MLS Team

It's just funny because the Denver Broncos probably have the biggest geographical footprint of any team out there and they're the DENVER Broncos. That hasn't seemed to lessen their appeal in Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming, the western slope of Colorado (that might as well be a different state), etc.

Exactly. Areas will still claim the franchise. Hell half of NC are Braves fans.

I could see Carolina United following his theme and tying in with the new facility being built. Plus if their pitch is filling a gap from Atlanta to DC, they’ll prob wanna focus on broader appeal.

I was expecting “I don’t care about soccer. I wish Tepper was trying to help us win games”.

I don't personally care for soccer, but I don't see how an MLS team would be anything but positive for Charlotte. We have the Rapids here in CO and trust me, if you're not into it it's VERY easy to ignore. MLS is a pretty damn low key presence.

The whole faux-Euro thing just annoys me and a big part of that is again being here in CO. Every ski area goes for the faux-Euro look. It just comes across as tacky and desperate IMO.

What the hell else are people in Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming supposed to cheer for? The Broncos are a well established team that have been around for a long time. Meanwhile we in the Carolinas have the Falcons, Titans, and Redskins close to home and that's why we go with Carolina instead of Charlotte. I mean I couldn't care less but you go with Charlotte and you have a smaller fan base. Period
