Poor Cam, flying coach... no leg room. Offers $1,500 to switch seats, gets rejected.

The original seat holder obviously had decent money. No way a normal person passes up 15 Hundo for a seat.

I’ll sit in the lav , get up and stand outside anytime it needs to be used, for 1500.

To be fair, maybe the company paid for his seat so he wasn’t out of pocket. Still, ..... 15 $100’s ...for sitting?

(I’ve flown on longer flights and would still smell arm pits for 1.5 K)

Weird times.

If Business Class has empty seats, you can sometimes upgrade from coach last minute for $500 (I did this last month from Amsterdam to Philly). Having said that, the difference between full-fare, advanced purchase Business class and coach for a transatlantic flight is typically more than $1500, sometimes  a LOT more. I have to fly for work, have been doing it for more than 30 years, and I can tell you that the experience flying in coach has degraded dramatically over that time span. I stand a towering 5'9" and on my last flight my knees were touching the seat in front of me, even when it wasn't reclined. I can't imagine how awful it it must be for someone Cam's size to be crammed into coach for a 10 hour flight.

Cam is a young black male that is flashy and the guy took as disrespect that he thought that money could just persuade him to do whatever cam pleased its the “just because you’re a celebrity” mentality color didn’t have anything to do with it but all those things tied into one equated to him so quickly denying 1500 for something most anyone else would oblige

I wouldn’t call cam flashy at all, but let’s pull the race card once again lol. That must be the reason, no other way to explain it. Hell the guy could be even wealthier than cam and not give 2 fugs about 1.5k, or could be a million other reasons  but nah since he’s white, it’s not the reason, it’s racist disrespeck

Business class is not cheap.  And it’s a 10 hour flight.  There was probably some sound thought that went into the no I will not switch seats.

Sorry but that’s just an assumption based on your own bias or personal perspective.

some people just don’t want to be bothered. They might not want someone waving a bunch of money in their face. Some people just don’t want to break from what they are comfortable with, even as simple as making from his house to his place on the plane, i can easily understand how someone might resist a sudden request from a stranger to give up that seat.

I don’t deny that race *could* be a factor, but it’s highly unlikely given the plethora of other reasons that could lead to the denial.

Thats the reason I reject your assumption that “we all know why” the offer was rejected, because that is intellectually dishonest. The fact is that none of us actually knows why.

$1500 is not a lot of money by the way. As a business owner I’m not rich but I’m not going to be dazed and sit on a lav as someone here suggested for that. It amounts to about 1 of my 4 vans daily revenue. And I’m a small business. Let’s not act like 1500 is somehow a jackpot for everyone.

You got all that from that one little video, did you?  Dang, you could probably figure out that white dudes DOB, social security #, mother’s maiden name and all kinda other poo if only you saw a quick video of him leaving the bathroom with those level of detective skills.
