Great breakdown of our 2 young receivers.

I expect both to take the next step towards stardom this year. Both are having success off of mostly natural skills. As their route-running and chemistry with Cam develops, they can both be special.

DJ is everything he was thought to be. RB ability after the catch is borderline unique in the way he just bounces off tacklers. Solid hands and speed. Potential is still climbing. Which was why I, like many, wanted Moore over Ridley. Ridley hasn’t gotten any better since his FR year at Bama. He was that good then. Still is good but he’s more of a #2WR in the NFL. Moore was playing with awful QBs and you could see the room to get much better.

CS just needs to stay healthy. Separation and strength for his size just raises the bar on his ceiling. Never realized how strong he is. But any player this fast who still plays as physical as he does will succeed and flourish.

They both need 8-10 touches a game. You put the ball in DJ, CS, and CMCs hands 40 times a game and there are going to be a whole lot of “big” plays.

Thanks. Nice work on that video.

Gotta say, Gettleman did a good job in that draft.

Yeah, I was a little bummed when we took CMC because I wanted us to take Samuel in the second round.  The thinking was since we drafted a multi-faceted player in the first round that there'd be no way we would turn right around in the second and draft the same type of player.  Much to my delight, Gettleman double-dipped much like he did with Star and KK.

So who did I want in the first? Either Fournette or OJ Howard, then Samuel in the second.  Fournette can't stay healthy, but Howard has been extremely solid  on a terrible Bucs squad.  At any rate I'm glad we got CMC AND Samuel.

Project was the word on Samuel since he mainly lined up in the backfield at OSU , but the speed and athleticism was never a question.  My thought was it would probably take until year three for Curtis to get a grip on the full route tree and how to set up the DBs in his routes.  Well, this is year three and I expect (as long as he stays fully healthy all season) to have a monster year.
