Maybe call the pelicans about the surplus of players...avoiding Ball at all costs of course.

For who?

Again it goes back to... we litterally have nothing to trade.

They aren't going to trade players pther than ball for the 12th pick and or monk

Love Kemba for his dedication to the franchise that drafted him and the fan base that adores him.  If winning doesn’t matter but loyalty does, Kemba stays.  We will still struggle terribly next season but there will be a glimmer of hope after that.

This team is about to get Real ugly

Imagine if we trade up in this draft (like Kup said he's trying to do)  for a project guy like Hayes or Sekou Doumboya who its rumored we like.  Giving up potentially future picks considering we dont have any value on the roster to give up to move other than Bridges.

Then if we lose Kemba too.

Its about to get real ugly folks. MJ is sighing a huge sigh of relief the All-Star game was here this year vs next.  Because this city is about to lose about any interest in this team and game that they have

FO's isn't that dumb, and besides, it wouldn't take future first rounders to move up only a few spots to take Hayes or Sekou. Not like we'd have to get all the way to 5 or 6 to grab either of those. By the way, both would be really good picks imo, would love to see us take either at 12.

I knew it when i saw the AD trade

Same. That's a really good sell, especially since Kemba said he'd at least meet with other teams. I'm really hoping LA doesn't make out on that extra 5 million in cap from the trade because if they can only offer like 104 million over 4 years, even just 190 million over 5 years from the Hornets would probably be enough to keep him.

This is a complete dumpster fire.. I kinda hope Kemba leaves for LA and gets all the recognition he misses out on.. AD Lebron Kuzma and Kemba is a huge contender in the West- esp with the injuries to KD and Klay + the uncertainty of the Rockets roster..

It would give me a good excuse to turn my back on this organization until they fix the payroll..

Why so much animus for Lonzo?  Because of his Dad?

I'd take Lonzo over Monk all-day every-day.  Heck, if Kemba leaves Lonzo would be the best player on the team!

A lot of it stems from his dad

But

He also isnt that athletic.  Going to have a hard time guarding guys

Has been injured prone so far

Not a great shooter, and his form is wacky so will be real hard to correct (see MKG)

He is a smaller unathletic Ben Simmons.

I just don’t see a path for any real success anytime soon. If any gm even thinks about trading away 1st rd picks they should be shamed out of town. This team is going nowhere with or without Kemba. They sign him to a crazy contract for what reason? To try a squeak into the playoffs as an 8 and get swept? That’s no good. This franchise is just going to have to suck it up and tank for talent and picks.

I think Kemba is cut from the same cloth as Lillard, Giannis, and others before his time. I think he stays for 5 years/200 mill.

Can't tank in the NBA anymore with the new Lottery percentages. ATL, Chicago, and Phoenix all got screwed. Knicks almost got screwed too.
