The question of Bradberry

ok.

Not trying to play word games but if there are younger guys with better stats than JB when their times come they should command more than him.  I don't understand your point here?

1) because they did better

2) cap increases/position demand etc

Now, the existence of other players does nothing to help our team.  We can sign JB or not, that does not make the other guys available.  If an upgrade is available sure, no argument.  But if we don't sign him or just cut him you better have a replacement ready.

Im on record not being a fan of our staff or FO, but they love the guy.  He's here, period.

Not sure about that. The whole point of the thread is when/if to pay Bradberry and how much. The reason for the links is for a comparison, not to necessarily campaign for an upgrade (I've already said earlier in the thread that upgrading [or even holding serve at a cheaper rate than he'd command] is dependent upon availability of free agents). If Bradberry is unreasonable based upon his value to the team---real or perceived---then Rivera's desire to keep Hurney won't mean a thing if Hurney is as fiscally sound as he's been this second time around.

They’re gonna pay him.  What?  Idk.  It wouldn’t shock me to see him sign in the 7-10 range and I can’t be mad at that.  Not the way teams are paying guys now.  JB is not the unreasonable type.  He strikes me as the guy who would sign for less just to not deal with moving.

  • 1 month later...

That same exact “above average” tag from PFF was used to tell everyone that we should leave Dontari Poe alone because he was “above average” last year no matter what we saw. At 5M(now around 12M more at least)

Now that same context is being used to show we should not sign a player to a contract that would be similar. By the same person?

Not understanding how it goes both ways? Sure seems convenient.
