oh give me a break

It was supposed to say content.  We had this access and coverage years ago. Now they are positioning to be the sole source. I don't know why anyone wold think that is an improvement. Yay, they have a camera with some shitty music focused on Cam after drumming up drama about this for a few weeks. If their video knew a mode other than hype video this might not be as bad.

I definitely get it but why showcase it? Would Bill Belichick do it if Tom Brady all of a sudden had a new delivery that could be better than before? fug no. If Cam is good us fans will feel great when we win. I don’t care about a preseason dog and pony show. It won’t give us an extra point week 1.

What harm will it do, though? Do they need to keep it secret? How would they pull that off? People have been curious and talking about it, why not get ahead of it? If the team is excited about the progress, then why not act like it?

Seriously don't know why this would be a negative. Just because BB and Brady wouldn't do this doesn't mean no one else would. Those two have a lot to envy as far as creating a culture that puts winning above all else, but stuff like this is a non-factor in that.

That's almost like complaining about celebrating touchdowns and wins and even first downs. It just shows that someone needs a laxative.

The Panthers Instagram feed is showing a much wider camera view....Cam throwing what looks to be like 25 yd passes or so just like the other QBs and it looked smooth  and effortless for him. Then some more team drills throwing to wrs and such. He looks a lot farther along than what I was expecting. Every pass I could see looked right on the money. No over or under throws like a couple of the other QBs throws. Obviously it’s very early on but everything I could see was very encouraging. That new throwing motion seemed pretty natural to him... pretty cool to see

Yep, that IG feed was better. Cam is looking good. Nice medium range passes. Grier looked rough, but that’s expected.

Right I mean you don’t get any of that wonderful music and the camera shows more than a 10 ft bubble around Cam ha, much better. Yeah I saw a couple overthrows from Grier but like you said , dude’s a rookie. Main thing I took is that throwing motion and that it looked natural to Cam...was expecting check down style passes from him, 10 yarders and such. Exciting as hell to see him look that far along

I tried to watch it but the video feed wouldn't play on my ipad.

Was there a noticeable difference in his throwing motion?

Cam's mechanics weren't the best but he got the job done.  My understanding is footwork (or lack thereof) was the biggest issue, not his throwing motion.

Makes me very nervous when coaches start tinkering with the throwing/shooting/swinging motion of elite athletes who have already reached the highest level of their sport.

I mentioned MKG in another thread, his shooting motion was very funky but quite effective and got him to the NBA.  He got worse when they started tinkering with his shot.  Ditto golfers, they start screwing with the swing that got them to the PGA Tour and it ends badly very often.  Baseball players start thinking about mechanics too much and get the yips, can't throw.

I sure hope the coaches don't lead Cam down a bad path as it relates to his throwing motion.

Going out on a limb here, but maybe let him get some preseason reps before we trot out the doom and gloom?

I know Panthers fans certainly have reason to be apprehensive considering history. But damn the negativity is getting old. Just let him practice.
